Hashinshin and the gang actually made a good point for once

In this video, they list how split pushing is near impossible because of homeguard now, but then they brought up:

What if cloud dragon had the homeguard attached?

Cloud drake is still kinda useless in comparison to the others, and this would give it a genuine and real strength going back to lane from a recall or stopping split pushes. Thoughts?

With the rng nature of dragons, I don’t think this is a good idea. Cloud is already really good for rotating.

I disagree, Cloud is a total waste of a dragon in almost all scenarios.

I dont think theres a single scenario where we have any clouds and I wouldnt just rather have another dragon.

Rotation

Hibeki1 votes

What would you rather have in that rotation? Faster turret taking? Restoring half your hp and mana while moving? Or extra AD?

Ill take literally any of those over 7% out of combat movespeed.

The ability to move around the map quickly is incredibly powerful. You don’t even need mountain Drake if your team has decent push power.

True ... I don't like being forced to teamfight with people i don't trust at all . I'm a bruiser/splitpush player and i just don't feel like I have my place in game anymore .

We could also bring back boot enchantments.... dont know why they ever got removed

And that would make Cloud Drake busted beyond belief. Cloud right now is IMO the second or even the best drake. You get to places faster, jungler is faster, mid lane can roam better, you can aid your team faster. its SO good.

Watchu mean a good point for once?! muh boy hash always has good ideas! Imagine if this guy was the head designer of balance.... Jayce/Akali 3% Winrate inc.

haha cloud drake is easily the worst drake in the game.

The order of strength on a scale of 1/10:

10 - infernal drake

7 - ocean drake: Fantastic early game, falls off late game

6 - Mountain drake, great for taking objective

2 - cloud drake, half decent for roams, not a big enough bonus, utterly useless outside that.

nelogis2 votes

Yeah no if your Jungler knows what he is doing then he basicly becomes omnipresent with 3 cloud drakes. That is INSANE value

That your jungler is able to countergank all the time + gank even more than your opponents jungler? That your midlaner can roam as if he has mobis? That toplane can get back to lane way earlier after backing? saving his TP for a potential bot gank?

That's just screaming value

2 - 3 could drakes are nuts (yes a single one doesnt do much)

I would rate it like this:

10/10 Infernal 8/10 Cloud + Earth 2/10 Water

Would rather have 3 clouds instead of 3 water any day of the week

Btw from where do you have the info for your ratings? you are saying it like it has been confirmed or something

Because it basically has been, anyone with ocean drake basically auto wins the lane phase. 25 movement speed doesnt make or break as a jungler really...

Comparing mobis to 25 movespeed is terrible, Mobies give 70 extra movespeed which is nowhere near 25.

Also, jungler presence is basically irrelevant by the time you have 3 dragons. Laning phase is over and everyones just moving around. There is no roams, its just rotations.

Any pro player values ocean a hell of a lot higher than cloud, and admiteddly even though this is hashinshin were talking about here, hes right. Cloud drake is ass compared to the others.

nelogis1 votes

yes thats why I said that a single one isnt good/worth it?

at 3 you get +75... that is even more than mobis... everyone on your team has mobis at that point... like... dont you see how insane that is?

And having more mvnt speed after laning phase is good too... getting to objectives faster, splitpushing is more efficient, getting to aid your team faster

Also could you provide me with more sources with your claim "Any pro player values ocean a hell of a lot higher than cloud" other than this video?

I know that Trick2G likes cloud drake more than Earth or Ocean (Dont know which video that was I was just randomly browsing youtube)

What do you consider a "pro player"? because hash finished last season with D3/D4 If thats what you call pro play then im soon in that category too and your statement of "any pro player" would be wrong.

I guess we have to agree to disagree here, i like cloud and you dont but dont spread misinformation that every pro player thinks that cloud is useless too

slapping a homeguard buff on cloud will brake the drake thats all im saying

Hibeki1 votes

Trick likes cloud because he plays udyr, of course hed like cloud.

Cloud drake is actually a waste of a drake in most cases and not really worh taking unless totally free.

I dont need to provide any claim, youre the one trying to prove something that is already common sentiment is wrong here.....

nelogis1 votes

yes and Udyr is the only campion in whole League of Legends and even candy crush that benefits from movementspeed my bad you are totally right

Honestly that's a really cool idea. First cloud drake could grant maybe 40% what current homeguard gives (since you can get it earlier than 20 min and it would be op if you had it at say... 5 min) and then an additional 40% for each cloud drake, meaning you could get 120% what the current homeguard gives if you got 3 cloud drakes. That would make an early cloud drake + teleport really strong.

You can only get 3 of any dragon.

That's cool too, just go ahead and edit it.
