The next time someone asks how to win against a certain champion

Don't just put down a direct counterpick, try telling them why they beat the champion they're having trouble against, what to look out for, what to do when they're ahead, how to keep them behind, their weaknesses and strengths, stuff like that.

If I say how do I win against Annie, do I really have to pick Xerath to counter her every time I'm against her?

Why not tell me to rush item 3102/item 3140 or take summoner 21/summoner 1

Isn't that what guides are for though?

Guides aren't always up to date.

...ok, and everyone's opinion is?

The thought process is usually to pick out which information appears most often.

Plus it's annoying to find guides that are half a season behind.

If you're playing an uncommon champion such as Urgot Azir Aatrox, there aren't really going to be many guides on them, and a guide might not answer your question. I remember when I was a Swain main a couple months ago, the last guide made was a year outdated. Personally, I find it much easier getting answers on the boards rather than looking through a bunch of paragraphs, and you can also get multiple opinions and many different ways to do things here.
