Griefing is Becoming More Commonplace Because Damage is Too High

Woodakoodashooda··36 votes·11,088 views

People give up more and more often after falling 3 or more kills behind to their lane opponent or to the enemy jungle because the state of the game makes fighting back at that point incredibly difficult if not downright impossible.

The game is plagued, now more than ever, by this defeatist attitude and players just opening games is becoming far too frequent. And it is because the amount of damage offered to any one player who manages even a small lead enables them to detonate their targets in the blink of an eye.

And players have asked and asked and asked and asked for Riot to tone the damage down and to give players a chance to try and make up for mistakes made and to provide a chance for comebacks to happen so that two or more deaths does not generally seal ones fate. But Riot refuses to honor what it is that their player base, their customer base both wants and needs.

The only thing that continues to support this game is the overall addiction of this game.

I think Doublelift pointed out in one of his recent videos that losing feels twice as bad as winning, and with how easy it is to lose a game early on, and how infrequent comebacks seem to be, I'm not surprised people are getting more frustrated.

The game feels like dogshit to play regardless if you win or lose. Ain't no satisfaction to be found in stomps.

All I can say is that Riot is incompetent. I genuinely believe I could do a better job (because I actually play the game unlike the balance team).

I would love to see you destroy the game in a single patch. The balance team plays the game way more than you and I'm pretty certain that you wouldn't have the slightest of clues to how balance anything without completely screwing everything else in the process

He's either a riot apologist (mindless trash who will swallow anything riot shits down their throat and say thank you may I have another) or a board hater (who do have some valid points about the board, but cannot acknowledge when the boards has a valid point) , either way, not worth your time.

and if the community would balance the game it they would create a system that is a billion times worst

Cavesloth4 votes

The community as whole perhaps... but give to the select few smart people who keep making brilliant posts here and it'd be a billion times better than the steaming trash pile riot is determined to fly into the ground at mach 10 that is the game now.

Being able to put pretty words in a coherent way doesn't mean you would be able to balance the game at all or at the bare minimum on a consistent basis while at the same time keeping the game relatively fresh with new additions.

Also, just because something looks good on paper doesn't mean it'll be functional or worth following through due to the sheer work needed for it to even accomplish what is supposed to do.

You are clearly are Riot apologist, or a boards hater, either way not worth anyone's time.

it hurts when the truth is spoken right? 99% of everyone in here wouldn't even have an idea where to begin balancing the game in a way that wouldn't leave it in a more broken state. Most people here just look at things in a vacuum, where if you change the power (buff or nerf or just a power shift) of one thing only that one thing will be affected (whether it's an item, champion, rune or anything doesn't matter). I can spend hours upon hours, upon hours trying to come up with something that would balance the game but guess what? it can look good all it wants on paper, doesn't mean jack since execution is what is needed. Would I want to force this change regardless of anything? or would I be able to give it up if it doesn't work? would I be willing to understand that the state of the game would be worst for a little bit if I go through this change but get better as it moves forward? would I be willing to think objectively and not have my emotions cloud my perception of things? would I be able to work under constant pressure? these among much more questions need to be answered way before you can come and say things like "boards would be able to balance the game better than the people actually paid for it!" You can hate on Riot, the balance team and anyone all you want. Doesn't change the fact that they can, will and are able to do a much better job than the vast majority of people around here and the people around here that might even be able to do a decent job balancing the game they might not be willing or able to put as much time as it is required.

You are the one who is not worth anyone's time

Just because most of the boards couldn't balance the game, doesn't mean Riot's doing a great job. Totally separate issues there bud. If you need to keep conflating them to justify your addiction to this turd of a game, well that's on you. I don't need to do anything to you, you're doing it to yourself, that's the part that makes this so damn funny.

and yet here you are on the boards of what you think it's a "turd of a game" you need to seek help since you like suffering it seems

That's the best part, its inconceivable to people like you that I come here just to be entertained by people like you.

Who even thought that constant oneshots by every role will be fun to player or to viewer? I had so much more fun with prolonged fights where we actually have to fight longer time for first target to die. There were combacks in the actual teamfight! Teamfights used to be much slower and people died much slower too. You could position easier because you wouldnt die as soon as someone touches you. They even released assassin support who is rewarded for building lethality and has expecute on his ultilate that oneshots adc at 50% hp.

Garbage meta from garbage balance team.

iamsmurfing010110 votes

Its because players left playing this game are mostly fed up with the state of the game and care even less with the game outcome and this shitty meta. I am not even goint to try to list all the problems since 99% of boards is full of it :) Keep it up lads, lets show Riot we dont want this shit in our beloved game!

They just made it worse patch after patch, since pre-Season, ie. NOVEMBER.

At this point it's just a bad joke, I am speechless.

remakoro5 votes

And they still aint done. They keep nerfing any defensive options/champions they can think of. And solution to any problem is - give it more dmg.

Every time im reading patch notes i just want to drop league more and more. Im still kinda hoping they will snap out of it but to be honest i dont believe in it anymore. Everything is just SO LAZY. Its hard to think that people that can allow this to go on will be able to fix anything or come up with anything good.

Nea1043 votes

I think exactly the same, word by word...

It's like "intentional feeding", at this point :P They are intentionally destroying their own game. I can't get why, tho.

I remember back in the day I could die once or twice and still come back. Now I die once and the enemy can literally 1v1 me under my own tower... It's too snowbally and turrets do nothing.

Breezey Boy2 votes

I just go into every game thinking I'm going to lose, tbh. It's not even because of this meta, but whenever I go into like "let's win this guys!" I 80% of the time will lose that match.

I think the universe doesn't want me to be happy, or just overly happy.

I generally don't play anymore and I haven't bought any skins since the introduction of leathality let alone buy RP, Ghostcancer has killed this game.

riot is probably trying to make its own game like every 100% videogames are like -- "kill and go" type game because it might feel more "satisfied" to players
