Day 9: Akali continues to be useless

She's still THE worst champion in the game, going by U.GG statistics (which are quite reliable) and there are no further planned changes to her outside of Riot saying "We will continue to work on her as the year progresses". Literally, she has a 44% win rate with a minuscule pick rate, what's going on here?

At this point they might as well revert her because clearly this iteration can never be balanced, and then we can get a proper rework that's actually healthy and fun for everyone once Riot puts some actual thought into it.

Tbh Akali kit is so toxic because there is so much in it. Why Q slow? Whe she have extra range after hit skill? Why she have extra MS? Why her E cant be like Cait net? Without second gap closer. Take all this extra shit and buff numbers and she will be less toxic to play vs and she will back to 50% No one want play vs Akali atm thats why she deserve to be nerfed to the ground.

They reworked akali into an unbalancable mess, so they basically had to kneecap her. Kind of like what happened to yuumi after garen/yuumi became popular or ryze/azir.

Wait a few patches I would bet we'll see her get a couple light buffs before too long.

talon jungle has a sub 40 and they buffed him this patch in the jungle (37.43% as of this comment in play plus and 39% on all ranks) not to mention there are several worse picks than her accross all the ranks

The problem is they nerfed her all wrong. They really should nerfed her mobility from the start but they were scared of ruining her identity as a slippery assassin that goes in and out of sight. The problem with akali was she really didn't sacrafice too much damage for her insane mobility. She was legit ungankable with her two dash ult and was nearly impossible to run from as a immobile champion. He having to use her first part of her ult through a champion meant she either had to hard outplay or use her e and w as and escape which was years better then her just getting 3 free dashes before. If riot ever sacrifice identity for balance that means that riot feels the champion is legit unbalance-able without this change and its always there last choice. Riot would legit let the game burn around them before they chance ezreals q from applying on-hit.

Tahm Kench is worse than Akali for 1 year, and she sucks if players sucks. Sad but true.
