Most emotes should cost RP and not IP

I want Riot to survive as a company. I want Riot to survive without charging for gameplay aspects of the game. That means they need to charge for cosmetics. Emotes are cosmetic. Therefore emotes should cost RP for the most part and only rarely be available for IP (like the random emote sets that will be available in the Blue Essence shop next season)

Only change I think should be made is to allow the champion emotes (dance, taunt, joke) and mastery emotes to also go on the emote wheel.

I think the bigger gripe is how expensive they are

Not in the threads I'm seeing. They appear to be complaining that emotes are priced with RP at all, very few complaints about the specific price.

wow, sometimes i forget how ignorant some people are. And i forgot as well that cheap cash grabs are the only way for a company to survive these days (so EA was right all along ). Not creating products and content that are actually worth their price tags. But maybe it´s just me being naive. Not wanting to pay 2-5 dollar for something someone drew in an afternoon and that´s generous. It´s not about being cosmetic or not. It´s about emotes being laughable overpriced and everyone knows that because i refuse to believe that there are people, who actually think that these prices are justified. It doesn´t matter though because enough dumb people with too much money will buy them anyways. I mean you can support a company you like however you want, but don´t tell me that these prices are ok and that riot has to rely on shit like this to survive.

So don´t worry riot is fine and even if they weren´t it wouldn´t be the costumer's fault.

You sound really mad about what I said, but you also seem to be acknowledging that emotes should cost RP instead of IP which is exactly what I said in my OP.

yeah i was mad and a bit rude yesterday ( i apologize for that ). I have no problem with cosmetics costing rp. It´s just that imo the effort put into them doesn't justify the price. That´s just my assumption though and many people disagree with me here. It´s also important to what you compare these prices in the end. In comparison to a burger at McDonald's an emote seems to be a good deal, but when i remind my self that i got a lot of good indie games for the price of around 3-4 emotes they become unattractive.

im also a bit prejudiced because i´m sick and tired off cash grabs being shoved into every game i used to enjoy. I mean for christ sake shadow of war is as single player game and still has to have a lootbox system for no good reason and ea´s bf2 is a straight up p2w with the economy of a mobile game despite costing 60 fucking dollars. how far we have fallen.

in the end prices of emotes are just a small complaint, since riot´s f2p business model is pretty solid overall.
