Solution for Crits right here that doesn't remove the feel and awe of Crits themselves

1.** Crit Runes are removed completely and building crit before a major item is either removed completely or severely reworked**

*Basically you wouldn't be able to buy Crit until item 3031 item 3142 item 3046 item 3087 item 3185 item 3104 * 2. Crits that land when the user has less than 50% crit chance deal % less damage than their normal crit damage value

*To make those times when you lost or won an engage due to a lucky crit far less abusable, mostly related to stuff like Tryndamere and the IE rushes nowadays. * 3. New Pseudo RNG mechanic to maintain the feel and make it more forgiving:

if you have Critical Chance and your Autoattack doesn't Crit your new maximum chance is out of the remainder between your chance on that Autoattack and it's maximum 20/100%. Miss. Now 20/80%. Miss. Now 20/60%. Miss. Now 20/40%. Miss. Now 20/20% If below 50% Crit Chance and you set off the stacking miss/chance your Crit will deal +10% bonus damage per stack capping at +50% (125% basically) This keeps happening until you land a Critical Strike

Pseudo RNG idea would be bad...very bad. At the pro level who are used to calculating every little thing, champions like Caitlyn would become impressive. Perfectly time it with your headshot, win lane instantly.

As for the first idea, I like it, but champions like Try would be getting nerfed...hard.

Huh?

You are basically saying that a Caitlyn that times headshot with a crit is OP in the pro scene. Of course she is. You can't perfectly time the system unless you bank on never going above 50% crit, which would then make you deal way less damage than before.

The pseudo RNG system is to be used as a buffer. It doesn't really affect gameplay patterns at all. Its just there to make the chance itself a little more forgiving.

Of course you will go over the peek of 50%, but during the laning phase even at reduced damage, crit plus headshot equals practically won lane. While late game, your system would like smooth outfine, during laning phase you are going to have the exact same problem of a crit winning the lane, only now, you will be able to time it slightly.

  1. Removing crit solves nothing.
  2. Reducing crit damage removes the feel and awe of crits.
  3. The current crit system is forgiving enough. Lucky crits exist because it's so forgiving. There is no need to make it any easier to crit.

I've currently got a thought on Crit... but that's for another thread... this thought is kinda... eh?
