Was There Any Changes To The Ping System?

Normally to ping a Buff, Baron or Rift timers I would just hold Tab and ping the timers. But lately it hasnt been working. The only way I can ping those timers is to press O to open the scoreboard, hold ALT and ping the timer and then press O again to close the scoreboard.

Its literally a paint o have to do all that just to ping timers...I've even died doing it a couple times.

Far as I can see there is no settings to change this myself..

So was there a change? Or am i bugged?
