He's always been able to do that. This is not a new thing and the reason being is that his E/Q combo is coded the same way as a blitzpull. When the Q contacts the flag, the flag basically pulls him to it. This is why that dash can also be interrupted by other knockups and why the knockup effect on the combo is so very very glitchy when interacting with other dashes.

The reason he is able to do it is that even though the status rooted prevents the casting of mobility spells, neither the E or the Q have a dash component to them and so they are still allowed to be cast. It is also why you should always pick Jarvan into teams with morgana and lux and why you should always allow them to bind you and then E/Q right on their face when they go in for the follow up.

Why not? Damn you guys and crying. Why is your champs more important and deserves better treatment? How many champs are out there?? How many players prefer certain champs? I understand the balance needed between champs but each champ has there own kits. That's what makes them stand out. This is nothing new.
