PSA: Please stop relating Adc directly to a mandatory bot lane marksmen.

Adc means Attack Damage Carry, not Marksmen Bot...

Attack Damage carry can be top, mid, or jungle, and does not have to be a marksmen. It does not even have to be ranged.

It means a Champion capable of bringing enough physical damage threat to give the enemy's a reason to build against it. The same applies for Apc.

Depending on the circumstances, a team doesn't actually "need" any physical or magical damage carry, so long as you have a way of killing the enemy nexus before they kill yours.

So please, stop embarrassing yourselves by flipping out(dodging or crying for someone else to dodge) when you see a mage go bot instead of a marksmen, and any similar scenario(tank mid, mage jg, etc..)

Sooo, who will snuff out the tower from a safe distance? Unless the game is a stomp playing with no ranged carry will only hurt you.

It is the most optimal way of playing. There is a reason why a duo lane marksman has been meta for a while and the only time it wasn't the sole duo lane meta was when Mordekaiser was OP.

It's the most optimal way of playing when you have excellent team communication, a general team strategy, and a cohesive draft built around that strategy. Needless to say, none of that happens in solo-queue. You win lane, you group up, you hope your team works together better than their team.

Honestly, I don't know why people don't play Burst Mages bot more often. They almost never lose lane, in my experience. Step 1/3 auto complete.

You hit the nail on the head. Teamwork is the key. Its not what champs you pick. its how your team uses them. The loss comes when players worry about who gets the kills, or running away insted of doing enough damage for the other player to pick up after you drop. Teamwork changes everything.

No it's the optimal way of winning because otherwise a team with both Ziggs and Mundo (or any other combination of long ranged poke mage + someone super tanky with high base damage output) will destoy your team since you don't have ranged sustained damage and any melee sustained damage can't get in range without getting chunked.

The problem with every non-marksman is the fact that the enemy is most likely gonna be a marksman and usually crushes the non ranged or ability dependent champion.

All i have to say to this is.......tell that to the pros in the LCS and Riot for giving them that title.

Let me explain why this is incorrect. You are not thinking in terms of build path. You have 5 roles:

  1. Top lane - Builds either health or health+damage (depending on the champ)

  2. Jungle - Same as Top lane, they build either health or health+damage (depending on the champ) and only in a few champ circumstances do they build all damage which will ONLY work with a COUPLE of comps which is rare to see in solo q so you cannot effectively count them.

  3. Mid lane - Builds pure AP with NO straight health or armor items unless said health item provides a decent CDR or AP effect

  4. ADC - Builds pure AD with absolutely NO health items AT ALL. The only thing that comes close is the Life Steal provided by such items like BORK or BT and in very RARE circumstances GA.

5 Support - Builds either utility or health+utility - They are mainly the meat shields/healers of the group so they have no reason to build dmg unless the item in question provides a decent amount of increase in health or armor which is rare as well.

So as you can see, the ADC is literally the only one that builds pure AD in EVERY match regardless of comp. The others cannot effectively do this in EVERY match. Marksman are the ones considered ADC mainly because they have the ability to farm easily due to having a support and they build all damage and they are crucial to the team since a teamfight benefits from the Marksman being able to deal out high dmg while being a safe distance from any dmg which leaves them mostly untouched (if positioned correctly). Hence why they are called Attack Damage Carry. They can deal massive damage from a safe distance while everyone else is taking the damage instead and that is also why marksman tend to have the higher kda in most matches.
