What was the criteria to be a part of the New Client's beta testing?

Because your criteria must suck if you only accepted a bunch of idiots who didn't notice the Weekend Special was missing.

"He may not be very bright, but he hasn't called anyone fat, gay or black in the last thirty days!!" No. Stop it.

The weekend game mode wasn't built into the new client yet; THAT's why it's not there.

The testing was for bugs and performance issues, not new features.

There's a difference between "New" and "Something that's been there for over half a year that people were expecting to not be forgotten."

They're building the new client in pieces. Each piece is new as far as building the client is concerned. Getting ranked out with the new client so it could be tested long before the new season was a higher priority than making the fun mode accessible on the new client.

And people say Riot cares more about fun than the LCS.

The E-sports tab isn't built in yet either :P The rotating game mode feature should be in the beta by next patch I think.

You need to realize this is a open beta and you can choose to use the legacy client, an open beta is no where close to a finish product.

You said it yourself, the client is in BETA. If you would stop insulting people for a second and look at the PBE, you would see that the feature is already on the PBE version of the beta client.

It's been out for a pretty gosh darn long time, now. The fun mode should have been of at least some priority to them, but of course, they focused on Ranked, as gosh darn usual.
