if i do poorly(not very often, but does happen every once in a while), my team rages at me and enemy team tells me "thats what you get for picking darius.

if i do well i hear endless abuse from enemy team about how im the biggest fucking noob for playing darius, and that even though i know this champion inside out and understand how to play him to the maximum of my abilities, anyone can do that because darius is a noob champ and is op.

whenever i pick darius im basically signing a contract to be stuck in a toxic ragefest directed at me regardless of whether i do bad or good.

If you enjoy playing Darius, play him. Let people rage at you. They're only raging because they're looking to blame someone else for their own faults. Same mentality as blaming the jungler for not winning a losing lane.

That's basically why I love Darius.

I love creating a flame fest in the enemy team, then shove some reports down their throat.

This works especially well against Riven players, as they are the most likely to rage quit after dying 5 times in less than 10 minutes.

Same thing happens if you pick any champion who has clearly defined strengths and weaknesses. People develop a hatred for such champs over time because they - without fail - will keep trying and trying to challenge those strengths directly and get pissed when it doesn't work.

These sort of people think:

They should have an easy lane as a squishy short ranged top against darius. They should be able to chase singed/teemo whenever they want to and kill them. They should be able to mindlessly fight a fed Riven without actually trying to outplay her in a fight. They should be able to kill a lategame vayne as a tanky bruiser 1v1 without a strategy for dealing with her kit. They should be able to duel a lategame nasus as an auto attacker / veigar as an ap. They should be able to walk away from an udyr gank.

I say just use the mute function and say screw everyone else. If they're going to be toxic just because you're playing a specific champion, then ignore them.

It's like picking katarina (gets screamed at for the whole game by enemy team every time you get a kill) seriously though i play yasuo and fiora and I'm starting to play some zed again and pretty much every time i make a good play that is probably impossible for most noobs/people with no understanding of yasuo mechanics i just get the same old "yasuo is a broken champ" response, even though he's really kind of UP right now after like 7 nerfs xD just ignore them dude keep wrecking and play who you have fun with ^_^

I actually agree that they nerfed Yasuo's health too much. He is under powered. However, that doesn't stop him from being INCREDIBLY obnoxious to play against. They need to get rid of the damn crit chance so they can bring his other stats back to a reasonable level. Even then, I'd still hate playing against him because of the free shield and wall.

well I'm saying he's a little underpowered, but i think he's one of the healthiest champs in the game at the moment. If you remove the crit chance, you have to do a total rework. Otherwise it'll be like veigar. Im sorry but i love playing against yasuo (i find him very easy to play against) and i dont see why so many people have an issue with him. the counter play is pretty obvious to me, and there are several counter picks for him.

He is actually harder to play then tops like Sion, Nasus.

His Q makes or breaks him. It has an insane damage potential. His ult is strong, but not overpowered or anything. He is also relatively easy to counterpick and he falls off late game.p

I'm gonna say outright, that I fucking hate Darius.

But that doesn't make abusing Darius players okay. I feel your pain, I play Riven and Shaco. Both champions have avid hatedoms. You wanna see people rage...? ._.

My team if I do poorly:

"Oh, Riven, how could you possibly do poorly? You're Riven, clearly you mash Q and we all aquire Freelo, she's not mechanically demanding at all, right?"

"Shaco, why'd you pick Shaco? He's useless, everyone knows it"

Their team if I carry:

"Fuck you, Shaco, fucking toxic champion, hope he's deleted"

"Oh, Riven must be so hard, mash Q to win"

But yeah, I feel your pain, OP. Keep playing Darius and making people like myself mad at you. But I'll have the dignity to be mad quietly.

I love darius. But he is extremely weak. He falls off too hard, his damage has nothing of special. His kit doesn't give him any tankiness, his damage needs AD to be relevant ( except early game ). Any ranged champion will make darius useless top. He also pushes the lane a lot when against favorable matchups, which leads him to be camped and, well, useless.

I play him jungle just to be a troll, It works well for me, (mostly i think just cuz no one exsoects it) but i exspect them to rage. I'm Darus jungle! if i fail, I didnt let anyone down. If i win, eveyone else says that they carried me even if i have the most kills and assists :P

i just had a streak of darius games the other day, played him like 6 games in a row, and queues were super long and I ended up against and with the same people almost all of those games

what I got is a bunch of fun games where some i won, some i lost, but the people who were on my team one game were against me the other and they were like "yay, my turn to try going against your darius"

I get many more occurences of people going "omg that damage" when I delete them lategame than I get people raging against me for picking darius (although they tend to be yasuo or riven when they do rage) even the teemo that went like 0-12 against me was more like "welp, time to go back to the drawing board for how I play that matchup"

I guess people's rection to a champ depends on the ELO you're in
