Wow you guys sound more and more entitled each day. Them releasing a Trickster Mage, does not mean that they can fix Wukong, whose problems lie in his binaryness, not his tricksterness.

I mean, they cannot even be bothered to address Karma's problems. I feel for Wukong mains . . . I really do. Meddler, Reav3s and other Developers are extremely bias in their work and conversations. They don't care about unpopular champions.

Wukong is inspired by the legendary Sun Wukong. He was cunning, sure, but he wasnt exactly the most subtle guy. He was more of a brute than a trickster, it just happened that he was also a jerk that didnt respect authority at all.
Comparing Neeko and Wukong its like comparing a spy to a hooligan. Sure the hooligan can also trick you but you will be noticing 2 seconds later when he starts laughing at you for falling for it and starts tackling you while he screams like a retard.
I thought the same thing when I saw Neeko's trailer. That's how Wu's W should have always worked, or at least been similar to. She can even use her clone to take aggro from jungle camps.
I haven't played Wu since season 2, but I often used to suggest that they changed his W so he could actually control it, as it would add so much more to his gameplay.
Wukong mains everyday are more whiny
Well Riot could technically fix any champ if they invested the time and resources into doing so. I do hope one day they decide to give Wu the Aatrox treatment and rework him to appeal to a broader audience.
Neeko's intro is still a positive sign for wu's potential just by virtue of her vastayan relationship imo. I think Riot just doesnt have a concrete concept for him & him being unpopular doesn't help matters either.
As for direction, I prefer if they focused on him being a Fighter with Nimbus abilities as opposed to a trickster. Neeko W suits her being a squishy mage but would only add to wu's problematic kit. Rhaast's gameplay is great inspiration for what New-kong could be imo.
Also It's unfortunate that alot of players react so negatively to Wukong threads often citing things like Wu's kit, monkey-ness or recent OP state to dismiss Wu mains or their ideas. The weird thing is- MOST wu players want wu to have a healthy kit ( that's less binary and has more skill expression). We want Wu to be a healthy champion that people have fun playing as and against and seeing all these negative reactions is pretty disheartening.
Sure wu players have been speaking out abit but that's cuz there's wasnt really news about him for a while. You rarely see him popup in threads or fanart or anything. Generally I think wu players are just advocating now because him being overpowered earlier this season was the only chance any real discussion about him occured in a while. If people were speaking about Diana changes or skins for example you'd see much more upvotes and less hate/dismissal despite the fact that Diana is newer and better-looking than Wu. Probably cause she resonates with alot of people and is more appealing/popular. Isn't that what we all want for our fav champs though?

She is the monkey king now like the sun wukong for real, while wukong is useless thing.
wukong W can still be fixed. Make it to where the clone mimicks his last ability used except ultimate, it lasts longer, and it AAs the target. But the dmg from the ability the clone uses is only 20% of the original ability.
But wukong cant be a trickster champ with his current ult. His ult is really good on its own because it is aoe CC. Adding trickster elements to him and allowing him access to aoe CC is too much.
Riot never really seems to show an ability to work on more than ten or so champions in the roster at a time. LOTS of older champs like Wukong need heavy gameplay updates just so they aren't dead weight against modern day "we have no weak points" designs, but they just get ignored indefinitely.
