A Common Point of Frustration with New Runes

As I read the boards and talk with friends about runes, I'm seeing a common frustration that we all seem to share.

Often times you want a particular keystone rune for a champion, but none of the other runes in its path are appealing, so you wind up taking a keystone you want and then just picking other runes based on which ones in that tree are the least useless for you.

And I agree with the other players, this feels terrible. Riot please do something about this.

As a Sion Main, I'm still toyin with it but to be honest, I really really dislike it. Demolish is fun, espeicially once I get going and smack a turret for 1k damage. As well as Overgrowth is kinda eh, and ok. I get 2 HP per kill and hten .2% of my max life for every 8 enemy things that die near me. I think I had something like an extra 400 HP and I rushed a warmogs ASAP. Which to be honest is about half of what my W passive had. I had to take the armor/MR keystone because it's the only one that suits my play style since the other two didn't really work for my Sion top. Especially since I miss having that shield form that one key stone whenever I stunned someone with my Q or R. I do however do enjoy ultimate hat or the other thing that converts excess CDR into AD because I hate having to decide what to build and not waste CDR cause thery changed warmogs so long ago it really fucked up my build having that extra 10% CDR.

The short answer is... the new runes/masteries are really limited and don't fit a broad enough spectrum like they did before.

I concur, here's hoping Riot adds more variety soon.
