AP Bruiser Itemization Adjustments
With Haunting Guise as the base for granting AP and enhancing sustained DPS over time, I took the liberty of adjusting Abyssal Mask and Liandry's Torment to what I think would be appealing options for AP tanks and bruisers, whilst trying my best to limit mages and assassins from purchasing them. I mentioned in another post that I thought Immolate could use an AP ratio, and below you'll see how it all would fit together, with little bits of AP and Madness boosting Immolate to support a bruiser/tank play style. You will notice the loss of Magic Resistance on Abyssal Mask, but I am hoping that the design is overall more appealing and that a new Magic Resistance item could be devised to take its place. You will also notice that Liandry's is worse on mages, but with any luck perhaps a new Torment item may be conceived as well. The goal here is, again, to give some better options to AP bruisers and tanks, and with similar stats and a shared passive, I am hoping that Abyssal Mask will serve as a slightly more defensive alternative to Liandry's Torment in most games, but the items should still compliment each well enough in games where there are a lot of bruisers and tanks on the field.
Haunting Guise UNIQUE PASSIVE – MADNESS: Damaging an enemy champion or epic monster generates one stack every second for the next 4 seconds. Deal 2% increased damage for each stack, up to a maximum of 10%.
Abyssal Mask (3000g) (90.25% Gold Efficient up from 87%) Built from Catalyst of Aeons (1100g) + Haunting Guise (1500g) + 400g +50 ability power +450 health +300 mana UNIQUE PASSIVE – ETERNITY: Restore mana equal to 15% of damage taken from champions. Restore health equal to 20% of mana spent, up to 25 health per cast, while toggle abilities can heal for up to 25 per second. UNIQUE PASSIVE – MADNESS: Damaging an enemy champion or epic monster generates one stack every second for the next 4 seconds. Deal 4% increased damage for each stack, up to a maximum of 20%.
Liandry's Torment (3000g) (85.16% Gold Efficient up from 78.42%) Built from Kindlegem (800g) + Haunting Guise (1500) + 700g +50 ability power +450 health +10% CDR UNIQUE PASSIVE– MADNESS: Damaging an enemy champion or epic monster generates one stack every second for the next 4 seconds. Deal 4% increased damage for each stack, up to a maximum of 20%. UNIQUE PASSIVE– TORMENT: Dealing ability damage applies a damage-over-time effect for 3 seconds that deals a total of 4.5% of target's maximum health bonus magic damage, with each tick of damage occurring every 0.5 seconds. This total damage is increased to 7.5% of target's maximum health against slowed or immobilized units, and capped at 100 damage per second against monsters.
Sunfire Cape UNIQUE PASSIVE – IMMOLATE: Deals 26 − 43 (based on level) (+5% AP) magic damage per second to nearby enemies. Deals 50% bonus magic damage to minions and monsters (325 range).
Cinderhulk UNIQUE PASSIVE – IMMOLATE: Deals 12 − 29 (based on level) (+5% AP) magic damage per second to nearby enemies. Deals 300% bonus magic damage to minions and monsters (325 range).
