How do you play bad champions in ARAM

For example, is not fun to play in ARAM because it is hard to win with her building full damage because of how single target focused she is, or full tank because of how not a true tank she is. Certain champions just suck at the game style of ARAM because they are designed around picking off targets, split pushing, or dominating in the 1v1 solo lanes.

So my question is, what is the best way to play these kind of champions in ARAM? What items, runes, and play-styles work best for them in ARAM?

I usually play for utility and tankiness if its a champion i absolutely cannot play or isnt that good. Ill bodyblock and do my best to get picks and allow my team to carry.

Ex, vi ill usually build aftershock > primarily tank/cdr, maybe grabbing a cleaver. Usually ill eat skillshots or dive in and do my best just to lock down priority targets and eat as much damage as possible myself.

Short ranged mages i tend to go arc angels more, as you can grab abyssal or frozen heart if needed, or AA > Roa. Ive honestly prefered AA roa on lux as of late; tend to not need the assloads of early damage, and the extra HP is a godsend when they can dive you (i max W 2nd). AA also nets more AP than ludens when stacked.

Elise is super strong... I build her like a poke mage, max W, spam W and use E when you can follow up cc. And just use spider form to finish someone off (with 3 items your W will deal enough damage for you to follow up with spider form

Just max W and go with these item 3285 item 3165 item 3089

And stop being a meta slave and calling something shit because no one plays it.

Sure her W is strong for poke, but she herself is weak. Being a poke mage with 1 ability is not helpful after 10-15 minutes.

While it was not my specific reason for calling her bad, I do believe it is a good indicator that she is not a great ARAM pick if most players will re-roll her if possible.

Every elise I've seen do well went for a tanky build with usually one ap item. Full damage elise just pops to easily for someone who has a good bit of melee range damage.

I would guess that 1 AP item is either ROA or some thing with health like Rylai's or Liandry's
