Not Enough Grievous Wounds

The one item that is really lacking in league of legends is a way to stop mages from healing while dealing massive damage. Vladimir Mordekaiser Cassiopeia Swain Akali item 3075 good for tanks against bruisers and adcs item 3165 good for mages against bruisers and tanks and adc item 3033 good for adcs against mages and tanks and bruisers

Does anyone else see the problem here? Tanks and bruisers have no way of dealing with healing champs like enchanters or ap bruisers because their only grievous wounds item is strictly armor based. also Thornmail is only effective if the enemy attacks you with autos. Mages do not auto for dmg unless you are going Diana or some weird melee variant.

Every other grievous wounds item is far superior than the tank version and even then the ones that are superior are gold inefficient except for item 3165 because Riot loves mages more than any other class.

item 3033 this item becomes less gold efficient against someone like Kayn MasterYi Aatrox Olaf because these champs and more do not build armor items to the extent of almost all healing tanks like DrMundo Chogath Maokai and etc..

There are also too many runes that provide a form of healing like in the precision tree and the domination tree. Bloodline and ravenous hunter have been overtuned since launch in season 8 but receive no minor nerfs to make them reasonable.

In short Riot needs to add an MR based grievous wounds item or a grievous wounds item for bruisers.

AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GAMING JUST MAKE item 1055 HAVE A UNIQUE PASSIVE ADDED ALREADY!!!!

Someone on here ripped the total healing from an enemy Mordekaiser (that was behind early game I might add) at 17k in one fight. This was WITH Grievous Wounds applied mind you. I repeat, 17k in healing was AFTER Grievous Wounds...

Very strong point riot definitely needs to fix this

I just think the champs that heal just heal too much. Aatrox, Vlad, Rhaast all deal damage and heal from it meaning they can go full damage and survive sometimes more successfully than the tankiest of tanks. Now with new conqueror it's even worse for some. Yet when was the last time anyone complained about Nami, Bard or Nidalee's heal? Hell, even Morgana, she heals for 20% of damage dealt, is this even noticeable?

In the meantime, try being a bit more open-minded while you wait for a new anti-mage option. Tanking against a non-AAing drain mage? Get item 3165. It's not the mage-only item it was before patch 8.4. It has HP. GW triggers on any magic damage, which includes Grasp of the Undying and Aftershock. If you've got magic damage abilities, even better. But what if you don't? This is the fun bit. Add a item 3068 to it. Anyone in range of the Immolate effect will passively be afflicted by Grievous Wounds. You don't need to even hit them with AAs or abilities, so you can focus one target while still affecting the others nearby. The burn will even hurt more than usual due to Morellonomicon's magic penetration.

This is far from a quick solution as it's a two full item setup rather than half (like item 3076 and item 3123) and you'll still need MR items, but it does work. Having armor is useful even if your entire enemy team is purely magic damage since turrets, minions, and monsters deal physical damage.

Frankly there's too much healing going on. Grievous wounds should be 75% instead of 40% which does nearly nothing as noted by the Mordekaiser comment in here. So, make an 800 gold AP item to go into Morellonomicon that causes 3 seconds of grievous and make Morel do 5 seconds, the same way item 3033 works. The new item would basically be 30 AP and 3 seconds of grievous and builds with Oblivion Orb, that allows people to be able to stop said 100 a Q Yasuo and 100+ Q Tryndamere from just clicking a button and healing too much.

Mages aren't the real issue, its the people who have built in heals plus items plus runes that just get overbearing. I remember an old item called Spirit of the Elder Lizard that was like a mini-red buff in that it did slowing DoT true damage - three seconds if I'm right. Imagine that item for AD champions with grievous wounds applied and you'd solve a lot of the overheals as the true damage was meant to prevent healing from passives and items at the time. Now with GW this would be an item that would stop the ridiculous healing making trades so safe.
