all these "buffs" are just out of pity for how weird of a position he is in now in this mobility meta, it's basically like taking away Ezreal's arcane shift.

i am a Veigar support main all the way back since season 3 and i thought he got buffed, still do - the problem with all the buffs happening is that they will probably lead to a lot more nerfs in the future

Um I now it was not called a rework but that is what they more or less did. So i take it they are not trying to make him like he once was.

No they just wanted to shoot him in the knee caps because some korean lcs team did well with him as a support and they said oh gates op, lets trash it. To compensate for that we are making q a skillshot.

i played support veigar for years and i still play him now- veigar is very strong right now and glad band wagoners like you aren't ruining him for veigar players --- Veigar gotten better post changes, and anyone who mains the evil yordle knows this

Try to play him mid you fuckin ignorant dunce. Thats what he is meant for. Anyone can play him as a support, its not fucking hard. Before you go ignorantly shooting your mouth off, humor me and play him mid. Then tell me if you dont get wrecked because you dont have an adc zoning the enemy into your wall. Go ahead. Get squashed by an lb, or a zed, even a fucking zilean.

Well it sound like rework to me as the people I hear from says he went from a burst mage to a poke mage.

That is what a rework is to me. Some thing Riot does to change a champs play style.It can be a small one(like just changing one or two small things) or a huge one( what most people call a rework).

Veigar is ruined, the only acceptable change is to revert the damages done in 5.4. Period.

He was barely touched as a champ in the first place but he was fine the way he was. If anything he needed a buff. And no! I dont care who you are, the changes made, being ALL the changes made to him are huge crippling effects. Not buffs riot. Was the balance team in a car accident and they are recovering from brain damage now or what?

Skillshot q... pure cancer. Even IF you dont get completely zoned out, you will not get double stacks often enough to even make this a buff. His w is completely useless now that riot has deleted any change of landing his e. And r nerf to ratio? is that how you compensate for your so called buffs? Makes me sick.

What now guys? Whos next? Nidalee? Zed? Leblanc? Sejuani? Nah better nerf Yorick. Just saying, i think thats the thought process here with the balance team.

Well to be fair if the PBE changes go live his Q will be, what, double the range it was before? And 5s at all ranks. Next patch, going out as is, would make him way better than he was before.

And the reason for the change was fairly obvious, a giant AoE multi-target 2.5s insta-stun was complete and utter bull. The changes they made to it (as of 5.5, 5.4 was SUPER overdone) made it fair.

Basically they are changing him from a close range point-click mage to a mid-long range mage.

the point and click range was 650 units - and yes, any veigar main would know Veigar would eventually have gotten nerfed, but Riot actually buffed him instead, so no veigar main can complain about the changes because they know they got something better than they expected

47% win rate, single target burst that took a lot of setup all before pre nerf, yea every veigar main knew he would get nerf over literally 50+ champs with better w/r and statistics.

problem is since it goes away after hitting two things it is extremely hard to land on champions so setting up a combo with it is nearly impossible in a lane. if they made it gp its range regardless of the ammount of targets it hits but only gain an possible ap bonus from the first things hit then it would be infinitely better. Hell even if they reduced the delay of W then he would be fine. Even if you lanf the stun(somehow) people are able to move before the W lands.

i don't know man, I main veigar since season 3 and think he got buffed after the changes--- the only thing i don't like is how blink champions got stronger against him (blink should be removed from the game)

I think that was the point. I think they are trying to give power to other parts of his kit instead of having a super powerful stun that was what he was known for. He was known for deleting, but the part of his kit that made him able to do that was his E, making it what he was REALLY known for. Not using his R to delete someone, using his E+R to delete someone.

However, notice how I said trying. They arent quite there yet.
