There are many things that have been said about the laser turrets since their debut, that they deal a lot of damage is SUPER NOT one of them. In fact people here have been begging for damage buffs to them since tanks got popular again and it became apparent that you could just hang out in them for 15-25 seconds before you're even level 18.

At some point you aren't being honest about the state of things. Claiming the laser turrets aren't paper tigers isn't truthful.

Laser turrets have 85% armor penetration (ramping up over their attacks) and more damage then normal turrets. They do much more damage than normal turrets, but people go "oh no they only do 25 damage to a tank first tick plz buff", despite them being the strongest they have ever been.

EDIT For comparison, outer turrets have 180 AD and .83 AS. Inner have 250 and .83 AS (AD ramps up over time to that number). Lasers get 290 AD and 4.0 AS.

How longs the ramp up time?

Because that 15-25 seconds of Naut, Mundo, or Sion just standing around under turret wasn't hyperbole.

And the reason they WERE effective on ANYONE was that if you engaged as a squishy you got hit with a slow, which is what they're removing while saying "because they deal a lot of damage" the ramp up mechanic is EVEN SHITTIER now.
