Before, Veigars who missed their stuns were dead meat. Now? It is no longer possible to NOT "miss".

I think that's my main gripe here.

I didn't love the old stun. I didn't enjoy how reliant he was on landing the edge of the stun on the target. It seemed like trying to land a weirdly curved "skillshot" rather than trying to lock people up in a cage. But they didn't make it better at being a cage: they just made it so that you no longer could hit with the edge.

The thing about old Veigar was that if you missed your stun, you were instantly obliterated, and people made fun of you for being trash.

It looks like the thing about new Veigar is that you always miss your stun.

They should add like a 20% slow inside within the center of his E.

they should make it so that if youre within the circle after 2 seconds, then you get stunned anyway...

The delay on the stun means that any champion with a dash/blink will never get hit by it unless they are already cc'd meanwhile his w only hits ppl that are chasing you down for the kill or are, once again previously cc'd. At this point if I wanted to play a late game mage I'd pick cassiopeia or Karthus since they actually function during their laning phase

Only one of them is bad, the E.

The changes to E mean that you can't stun anyone unless they choose to get stunned. The delay means you've lost your only defensive spell when an Akali, Talon, Kat, LeBlanc, etc. jump in your face. There are accounts of players casting it on Zyra and Vel'koz (champions not known for their mobility) and them having enough time to walk out before the wall went up. Champions with mobility are obviously having even less trouble with it.

You can't land W without someone being stunned. That's just how the ability is, no change there. The changes to E effectively make it so you have no reason to cast W except as waveclear.

One must also consider "how much counterplay should a champion have?" Should Annie have a 0.75 warning before Tibbers spawns? Should Lee Sin have a longer wind up animation before he slows you? Should you get an exclamation point over your head when you walk into range of the enemy ADC?

There are some people on the PBE who would rather see his cage replaced with a Dark Binding style skill shot, since it would at least be more useful. That's how bad things are.

Average human reaction time: 0.70 seconds

Time to trigger the stun : 0.75 seconds

People should stop crying about something that they havent even tried

That…is not the average human reaction time.

For comparison. I believe .75 is about the same delay as Cho's Rupture.

Look on the PBE boards. It's full of people who have played it and against it, and neither side feels like it's functioning in a way that's right for Veigar. The best description I heard was that the new E feels like you're playing with 600 ping.
