So I tower dived a Zed using Ekko and when the trade started going bad, I ulted away. This Zed proceeds to call my ult BS.
I was like...look who is talking. I did practically the same thing all Zeds do, except my target does not die when I retreat. I guess he was mad he did not get to kill me as I ulted away.

But seriously, Ekko's ult is more bullshit than Zed's. With Zed you have a small window to counter when he pops near you. With Ekko, he can just ult and there's nothing you can do, even if you anticipate it.

Zed appears at the exact same time in the exact same position relative to you every time he ults, as well as detonating at the exact same time every time. If you don't call that a window to counter play his ult, I honestly don't know what to say to you

When Zed ults, he marks you with an X and about a second later, he teleports near you so he can deal damage which his ult amplifies. You can time that teleport when you see the X on you and counter him as soon as he appears. Some kind of CC usually works best. I've killed a few Zeds this way by baiting out their ult.

Apparently, having a button I can click to avoid him killing me is unfair...
