Why exactly are these mana changes needed?
Mages are going to lose around a full 1/3 of their mana pool by lvl 18 with dumb early compensations, terrible build paths for their first item and another indirect nerf to Archangel's/Seraph's. Just why?

I thought mid season was spose to introduce changes to bot lane, not fuck Mages over.
Seraph's didn't get nerfed...
They're upping the mana most mages who start dring (and several support mages who start spelltheif's edge) get at level 1, but nerfing their mana per level, which overall leads to less AP from Seraph's since the max mana at level 18 would be lower. I'm not sure how much they're going to do that, though.
So it's realistically losing...what, 2 AP? Maybe 3?
It's 3 per 100 mana. I doubt mages are going to lose much more than that.
Mages are gonna lose 1/3rd of their mana pool. Around 500 mana, to be precise.
500 mana?
Sounds like a lot. Also sounds like a change that would be more mentioned than some tiny-ass -1 vote post.
And, even then, it'd be a mere 15 AP. 15 AP isn't much.
Also, early mana is a huge issue on a lot of champions. Late mana? Not so much.
Think for a second. I'll take Ahri as an example. Her mana base is going to be increased from 334 to 418, but her mana per level is halved. This means that by level 5, she's already losing out on mana, with a terrible build path as a final strike. The changes are a joke.
I know.
And, for Ahri, if you run out of mana after your first back, you're a primate.
Your mana problems are primarily from levels 1-4. Once you have lost chapter, you shouldn't be running out of mana. Again, unless you're either boosted, or you stayed out for way too long.
Lost Chapter? You mean the item that is getting its prize increased to 1300 gold? And what about other mages with huge mana costs like Syndra etc.? This is so dumb.
1300g? That's not hard to walk out of lane with. Especially with the changes to boost early mana.
And I have no idea about other champions. I assume they'll be much the same, though. You never see someone run out of mana in late-game. Unless they're out way too long.
Name the last time you saw a mage run out of mana in late-game, and it wasn't because of sheer stupidity.

1300 gold is not that hard? are we even playing same game?
Na these changes are huge. 1300 for a item first back isn't easy, specially for a champion who needs to expend mana to trade. It's also going to make dealing with Energy champs or non mana champs even more tough.
Seraph's didn't get nerfed...
mages are gonna lose mana and seraph passive is scaling with it
It is getting indirectly nerfed due to the heavy mana loss.
I can't believe people are downvoting this. These changes are DESTRUCTIVE for Mages's gameplay. Like holy fuck what is going on here.

Cuz board is full of ad mains
Meddler and his minions are still mad that its possible for adc to die in game
To nerf even more archangel passive and mages
so that they don't massively outclass assassins and carries in mid lane anymore
They'll be forced into building Archangel's. Like, there is no other way. Most mages will start having less mana than live at around levels 3-4.
