why dont people play galio?

bad damagescalings for late, ~60% of his damahe is from his Q, which isn't that hard to dodge for experienced players, the rest from E which also can be dodged and his ult which nearly requiers flash to catch multiple enemys as he lacks gapclosers. And mostly, because every shit can cancle his ult, most anoying are on-hit ccs(like Blitz E) and skills with cast time( u flash in and taunt for example Nami, but she pressed R and despite beeing taunted she casts her ult and denys urs)

He'S not horrible, but it'S a bit to easy to counter most of his kit if u have some experience His Winrate comes from him having a low pickrate, which means most people who play him are expereinced with him and not just on a hype-train like for ysuo or Lee, and prople rarly see him so they have no expereience in playing against him, underestimate the power of his W, stay grouped and allow a good ult without flash, and they don'T know his animations anf thus have alot harder time dodgeing his Q.

I play Galio Jungle semi-regularly. His ult is very unreliable with the huge amount of hard CC in the game now. Other than that he's pretty fun.

tenacity cheese out of his ult stun him out of his ult other than that, i'm not sure. i like galio

he has a high win rate, good poke, good sustain, and aoe ult, gets dmg off MR or ap. why is he not played/

People want bursty, play-making mid-laners. Galio is a play-maker if used correctly, but lacks that burst that everyone expects. He's more of a tanky, poke mid-laner than he is an all-in burst champ.

because he specifically only counters AP champions, he does that role well but makes that his team (provided that top, jungle or supp cant make up the difference) doesnt have a traditional APC that can burst or nuke. And despite his ability kit he is still pretty susceptible to ganks, has to melee farm, uses a lot of mana and is a skill shot based champion.

Galio is ment to be played only agaist AP carrys with impact magic damage . Xerath,Morgana e.t.c

However AP carrys with a lot of DPS can shut him down in lane regardless of magic resist . Ziggs,Ahri,Syndra,Oriana

He has no escapes so AD jungler can shut you down as well .

Look at his ratios! Look at how he literally has no way to really make full use of his R without flashing. Look at the increasing number of champions that can instantly shut down his R.
