Hymn of valor way too cheese

I don't know/remember most of her changes over the times, mostly because it seems the developers are never satisfied and are always tweaking her, but I think that there is 1 thing that should definitely change, and that's her hymn of valor(q) range.

it's not a skillshot, hell it's not even a click to win spell, it's just a push your button and grin spell with 850 range, meaning with absolutely no skill she can level 1 zone all adc's away while still being very safe from their auto attacks.

no aiming, no concern it might hit a minion, no need to click a target, no need to even be close to a target...

Like I said, I don't know how her kit got to where it is but I do know what I'd like changed.

her damage is not overpowered if she actually had to try for it, so I say reduce her q range to around 675-700 and buff it's damage to something like 210/210+55% Ap up from 200+50% Ap, or give the "on next hit" damage a buff to compensate.

you do know that it's only 40 damage at rank 1 and 200 at max rank (without the empowered autos) right? for her to deal the full possible damage she has to get into AA range which is fairly short. But i guess 200 base damage is too OP now

i think even an adc has more sustained damage to out damage a sona really? she can zone you with ONLY her Q? it does low dmaage, actually has a CD and its main damage output comes from the AA that FOLLOWS the Q or just play leona or something, wuts great about sona is she gets wrecked by all these meta supports anyway so you dont have to sacrifice shit

learn to trade efectively, if her damage isnt all that.. what are you scared of? "o god some girl threw a rock at me, I'm calling the cops" cant even deal with her current Q and you're proposing to raise her damage? alright now you really will get zoned sona is a pathetic support ;l

Bingo, meaning she has to get in AA range which is lower than any ADC's.

ive been on the receiving end of sona with no items poking down supp and adc with one q into aa and then guess what we r less than half health even when under towerthen cant do shit for rest of laning phase cause forced to back or die.Shit half the time she does more damage than the damn adc. And ya'll think her q is weak screw u ppl

her Q tickles and after you get hit by that you either prepare to engage and kill her or you take 2 steps back cuz you now for sure she's gonna come in close for an AA

really with a thresh or leona.. even nami? sona could die just for trying to get an AA ;l

so its acually the aa that does the damage but still on my other account i have sona no runes no materies and i can q then aa every single champ out of lane evry time

"210/210+55% Ap up from 200+50%" why would you even bother giving such a meaningless buff. You might as well have just suggested gutting her range and been done with it, because that number change is doing nothing but letting you claim you did something.

The range of Hymn of Valor is largely irrelevant, because most of its damage output will come from her 550 range AA.

not worth going in depth so here's teh basic.

jsut because sona's q deals less without the auto attaack but it still deals damage, you can't just dismiss the poke.

a supp like annie has to actaully get in risky range to poke without flash/ult

a mage like supp has to aim their spell or get mid range to poke

supps like blitz/braum/thresh/leo all take skill to land shots or take risk in close range

sona is the only champ who can poke spam 1 button from long range without any need to aim or even click a target, over 120 champions and she's literally the only one.

her subtitle should be "maven of the cheese strings"

p.s. trade back? she's presses q 850 range and it auto hits targets for her... i'm not saying she can' be hit, i'm she's too easy peasy cheesy and every champ but her requires some form of brainpower to hit.

So if your minions are closer to sona and you are outside of the 600 range it will hit the minions. It loses champ priority when out side of the 600~ range.

If 40 damage is zoning you it's time to right click (or 80, but at that point you win with any aa) Alternatively, realize sona spends about 1 mana per damage dealt, is countered by any shielder/healer, is countered by all-iners. and is so squishy and mana hungry that she can spend about a minute in lane.

I can't believe that this shell of a skill is making people split shit.
