So youre the ADC marksman and your support built full AP and stole all the kills took a lot of CS...

Dont act an ass about it. Yeah, moan and complain a bit sure, but dont just stomp your feet, shit into your hand and throw it against the wall, and give up cause youre not going to get to carry probably.

Now higher skill, higher game knowledge players know how to take lemons and make lemon-aid. Most of you get lemons and try to make arsenic... grow up, dont be a pathetic tantrum throwing child, the girls dont think its cool.

Heres what you do... I know it will sound strange, but here me out.

First, stick with the team, dont risk your life, just try to tag the fight the best you can near the most fed person. This will get you some assist. Save your flash to get away, not to kill. You need to stay up so when the bodies fall, you can farm minions. Watch the death timers. When the enemy has recovered or that assassin thats eating your face off is back up, return to safty mentality and try for some assist.

Stop building damage!

A. You dont do any your behind, so more of very little is still very little. B. You are probably easy to kill, and dead people dont get gold.

So being squishy and doing very little damage just makes you a bag of 300 gold for the enemy team to take, making you hurt YOUR teams chances of winning.

So build what?

item 3022 item 3026

Frozen Mallet will do 3 things for you.

It will give you some extra HP for survival. It will give you some advantage when trying to escape/kite away. It will let you perma slow an enemy champ for your team to kill getting you assist (aka gold).

Guardian angle makes you more durable meaning you wont die as easily to burst, and if you do, you still may not feed that kill. It also means if you are targeted with a dive under a turret or something, the diver may still die, getting you an assist.

So with all these assist and some farm, youre still behind, but have gotten some gold... can you get some more utility, or contribute in another way?

YES!

item 3033 Grievous wounds is a pain for many champs. Cutting down on any healing theyre getting can help your team put them down.

item 3153 Youre thinking "Straight damage item?" Well yes, and no, the active will cripple the move speed of an enemy letting your team chase them better, and the bonus damage could even get you the kill.

So you may also be thinking "This is a terrible marksman build, wont I be made fun of in chat by my team?" Maybe, just say youre behind and trying to contribute the best you can with what little gold you have. If that doesnt work, mute. About 25-40% of the players in this game (depending on time of day) are self-absorbed brats that wouldnt dare act the way they do in the game cause they dont want to be missing teeth from all the people around them they would be pissing off. Ignore them, they arnt worth you time.

Now because some people wont read this with the proper frame of mind and probably think Im saying "Build this, its will make you awesome" IM NOT SAYING THAT.

item 3022 item 3026 item 3033 item 3153 boots (prferably item 3009 oritem 3111 for escaping) , and maybe even one of these item 3102 item 3814 item 3091 item 3071 item 3025 item 3156 item 3139 . Most of these have some defensive options, or in Wits End/Black Cleaver case offer a way to allow your team to do more damage while giving you defensive stats. Iceborn G. Will give you more CC, and paired with Frozen M. It can let you slow more than one person in a teamfight. M. Scimitar will let you un-screw yourself with its cleanse effect.

These are options that when put together may help you contribute to a victory when youre very behind or maybe even cant get any teamwork/support/peel and are targeted in every fight. These items still have to be paired with cautious gameplay and attempts to group with the strongest team mates. You wont carry with them, but you can stem the flow of gold you would give to the enemy team, and maybe give your team advantages to help them win.

Good luck, I hope you dont have to suffer a CS stealing, kill stealing, zero warding, zero peel, full ap, no sight stone support that puts you in a hole. If that does happen, consider some or all of what Iv said here.

Um no. This is a very bad idea. You are not there to be a tank. You need your damage items or you will suck regardless of if you even make it to late game (when very behind ADCs can comeback since they are back on equal terms item wise) or not. Sure it will take them an extra 2 seconds to pop you if you rush a item 3022 or a item 3026, but you won't do much with either of those 2 items anyways because neither really give you your much needed damage (30 AD is nothing a item 1037 is only 25 AD and is by far a cheaper and more cost efficient item that can build into item 3031).

If the AP support is fed, then the enemy bot lane likely is not, so you still can have lane advantage. But the ADC not building damage hurts that advantage a lot.

And you completely missed the point, or didnt read the whole post, or both.

As was said, higher skill, higher game knowledge people can work through being put behind. This is for people who cant figure out what to do with themselves when behind, not people who CAN. Its for people who are feeding kills as things are, not people who are just playing from behind.

Some people can play from behind, some get put in a hole and go potato. This is so the people who cant play from behind dont slap the game out of the other 4 peoples hands. Good job ignoring the point of the post, reading r hard.

I read the post, but completely disagreed. ADC is meant to deal damage. Not be a tank. Sure some with better skill manage alright when behind and there are others who completely shut down. But just forgoing your champions main build path, for which they are balanced around, is not the right thing to do.

I can see you grabbing more defensive, offensive items like item 3814 item 3139 item 3072 or some utility like item 3033 over your core damage item (usually item 3031 or item 3508). But just not building damage and getting a item 3026 first or second item is just wasting your time. Sure you will have some more survivability, but you will likely still be 2+ levels under their ADC and by not having damage items, makes you a very nonthreatening opponent for which they can just run through or completely ignore in fights and in lanes.

Also, GA becomes just a prolonged death timer since you revive with 30% health, and being an ADC, that is only like 300 health or so. GA is great for when you are ahead since it makes you harder to kill, but you have the extra damage when ahead to offset the 1 less offensive item. When behind it just puts you into a deeper hole that you need to climb out of.

Remember that when on a death streak you are not worth a lot of gold (you give like 50 gold or so when killed). So by farming on the side lanes, you can get your needed income while not risking a whole lot if you do get killed. Plus then you can learn something, like how to freeze a lane in a somewhat safe spot.

I'm assuming that in the scenario where the support starts bogarting all the farm and kills, the support has concluded that the team is better off if he has the gold than the adc. I dont play support very often, but occasionally I get an adc that doesn't know his ass from his elbow. I take all his farm and kills. I say i'm just trying to "poke" and "secure the kill." Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to win.

That being said, if the adc is behind because the support took everything, thats an issue. Blame is on the support there. I'm sure my idea of "all the farm" is different from an adc's because adcs are greedy bastards.

And since it was brought up, any adc reading this, start building item 3123 item 3033 earlier when the enemy team has someone who's known for broken amounts of lifesteal. I know you auto attack crit monkeys just want to see big numbers, but grievous wounds wins games and the mage option for that doesnt kick in till the enemy is at 40% health or lower.

I've been in both positions before. And I get that you having more of the gold income is better sometimes as the support, but you should never completely shut out your ADC from all income. Their items are THE MOST expensive in the game, so they do need the gold and I can see why they seem greedy, it is just because they actually need to somewhat be greedy (multiple core items 3500+ gold).

But yes, if against healers. GRAB AN item 3123. 800 gold for that passive is too cheap to pass up. You can upgrade it later (since the armor pen only applies to bonus armor), but at least grab this early on.
