So... with this new hextech crafting thing. You only get keys by playing matchmade games. Matchmade games are where you invited friends, right? So... if you don't have friends and cannot coordinate a team, you can't participate in this new system?

You get a Chest if you get an S rank with your champion.
If you are playing with pre-made friends and they get an S rank, you also get a chest.

As DTN stated above, it's also only on Normal/Ranked SR right now... possibly expanding to the game rotation modes when that is released (as champ mastery is going to be able to be earned there).
Deep Terror Nami1 votes"Matchmade" is when you join a queue to look for players. Whether you are solo or in a full 5-man group, queueing for Ranked, Normals, or vs. AI it is a "matchmade" game. What doesn't count as matchmade are Custom games.
Only modes where you can get mastery points can you get Hextech loot, though. Currently that is only Normal and Ranked SR (likely to be expanding in the future).
