How does Blitz pool calculate within TFT?

I thought it pulled whomever was mirror to him on the map? However, as I placed him in the center of the field, he wouldn't pull the other champ center of the field but the ones around that enemy or in front of.

I believe it pulls whoever is farthest from him at that point in time.

Exactly, when placed on the edges the furthest enemy will be mirrored from his point of view, but in the middle there will be some champions further away from his mirrored position.

Farthest away by hexes. Count grid distance. I assume RNG for if there is a shared grid.
