Why does Renekton get a buff?

He's already OP. And other champions could use a buff more.

He went from King of the top lane to cricket ville in a matter of weeks. They are trying to buff his non-existent late game since he falls off hard.

Renekton's buff was for his rage. That has little to do with late game. Also, Riot should do something about Jinx 's burst, Kalista 's ability to be in-targetable, LeeSin 's tanky ness, and RekSai 's burst and AS.

I would like to see more Volibear or Sejuani in the top lane. Shen could use a buff.

I also don't get people's descriptions of "fair" when it comes to power...

I'd assume more and more ranged champs are going top lane again, so they want Renekton to see a bit more play.

Renekton has amazing close range. His E also makes it hard on ranged champions. Let alone, melee. Also, the buff does nothing to help from ranged champions...

It lowers his fury decay, which allows him to be able to get an empowered W off a little easier as he dashes over to them, keeping them in place longer to deal damage.

HE HAS NO MANA

And Quinn, Graves, and Twisted Fate can counter him, easily. Tanks and assassins are meant to counter marksmen. Which is what his ultimate should be used for...
