LP are points you gain for winning games and winning games shows you've improved so you gain LP, you shouldn't lose lp because you pressed a button that just makes match making worse, cause less lp, chances at lower ranks, meaning you get matched with people you shouldn't be with because you pressed a button.

How else would they punish people who leave whenever a game looks rough? You know how much easier it would be to climb if people just stayed for the games that looked like they were going to win? You know how long it would take for BOTH teams to agree to stay? "Oh, they have x fotm hero. I'm leaving." "Oh, I didn't get adc. i'm leaving."
Guy Fox Teemo1 votesYeah but if you leave you get a penalty timer, and they can jus tmake it more severe for ranked, like 15 mins for first leave, 30 mins for second, 1 hour for 3rd, etc. (Thats if they happen in a certain time period)
