Trolling Has Gotten So Bad In This Game.............

I have no choice but to start queing up premade.

I can take a loss if its a legit loss. But what i cant stand is getting trolled into a loss. And it seems the number of trolls are multiplying daily. And I as you can see from my screenshot I never DQ with premade.....I go Solo....I want to win or lose on my own with the team im matched with.

But the only way to prevent or cut down on possibility of ending up with a troll is to go in premade.

Literally just took back to back losses because of trolls.

1st one was a Leo support who claimed to be the best Leo support NA...and said she would prove it by winning the game with no items. So she built nothing...only bought pink wards. So after quick deaths bot lane was arguing with each other and mid said f ithis and went afk. so we surrendered.

2nd game. Our mid was goign to use Yasuo...other team picked Yasuo. So our mid locks in Teemo. Any Yasuo player knows he counters Teemo so why did this person pick Teemo into Yasuo? Well when game started we soon found out. This Teemo was mad the other mid took the champ he wanted to use. So he picked Teemo and then when game started he all chatted to the other teams mid to come kill him.....boom free kill mid. So with a trolling teemo feeding Yasuo and the jungling fiddlesticks...another surrender loss.

A Solo player has %80 chance of getting a troll on their team....only way to reduce that chance is premade with someone you can trust. They dont have to carry you but you know they will not intentionally try to make you lose.

You have 500 games and a 49% winrate in Bronze 5. I think there are far, far more issues than you getting "trolled" every game.

your statement is unjustified - have you watched this users gameplay? Please review his games before making assumptions.

I don't need to watch his games to know that anybody in bronze 5 after 500 ranked games is terrible.

Youre the same rank as my smurf, but I have a higher MMR than you, and Ill tell you this, bronze 5 is a shitshow. It isnt based on skill, theres tons of people in bronze 5 who are decent players and get stuck with shitty teams since the match making only goes based on win/loss.

So if someone loses 5-10 games due to shitty matchups, its gonna get worse every time.

Thanks. I agree. It is SO hard to win these games. I played many myself. Im sorry, but if someone is going 20+ kills in bronze game is it most likely they are smurfing unless the game has been going on for about an hour which is so are due to the snowballyness of this season.

I am in plat, but in normals games (our MMR lags in normals), I get paired with silver/gold.

I can tell you some bronzes will get 20+ kills depending on the person on the enemy team. Part of the reason why I think bronze V is truly bad. People who are total junk will stay in bronze 5, but then theres people unfortunate enough to lose all their promos

It is very hard and I think dynamic queue is the best way to get out.

You say that like I haven't climbed out of bronze 5 before. There is 0 luck involved. A good player does not get stuck in bronze 5. A good player can carry 4v5 in bronze 5.

17961 votes

After a large number of games yes. Can a silver carry 4 v 5 in bronze 5? No Can a gold carry 4 v 5 in bronze 5 Maybe.

Not everyone in bronze 5 is absolute trash, there are elo boosters, there are scripters, and there are people genuinely meant to climb out of bronze 5, who will climb out.

And you made your comment earlier like I MYSELF havnt climed out of B5 before. 2 seasons ago ( and you can look at my lolking to see im telling the truth) I was in Silver..3 or 4 i forget which one. The very next season i went 7 - 3 in my placement games and got put in Bronze 4. 7 - 3 in placements from Silver and i get Bronze 4. And this season i was just in Bronze 2, 3 weeks ago.

His individual skill doesn't really address the issue, though. Sure, he very well could be terrible. Being bronze 5, it's a pretty decent chance. BUT, the issue he is talking about is the high number of trolls in the game. Which is true. And it is literally the reason there is a "toxicity" problem in League.

VvVVvV2 votes

Trust me i am not terrible. I main support, but as any support main knows NOT EVERYONE IS SUPPORTABLE. I got tired of of ADC blaming me for their deaths like sometimes i poing the bush or area in jungle im goign to ward....and soon as i go to ward it the ADC moves up to enemy and gets killed and says its my fault.

So I started learnign other roles i dont play much like mid and adc.........which led to my recent slumps. My 2nd best role i feel is top..........but then i ruin into games where i play top.........never see our jungler even if other teams top has ganked 3 times...so i sit and farm under turret and get behind.

Not all my losses are from my team members...yes i have bad games...but that is not what this post is about.

VvVVvV1 votes

You clearly have a hard time understanding posts. I never said i was the best player and i never said trolled "every" game.

I said i can take a loss win or lose. I am talking about trolls in the game that cause you to get losses you have no control over.

There is always some person who no matter what the post is...they ignore the point of the post and dig to find something negative to comment about it.

Pretty sure if i look up other posts u have made on other threads....if its something u dont agree with you commented in a negative way.

A Solo player has %80 chance of getting a troll on their team

That's really not how probability works.

17961 votes

It is

VvVVvV1 votes

Ok so then you tell me what the probability is. Because the way i see it is there are 5 people on a team. You account for 1 of them. So there are 4 others. 4 divided by 5 is .8 = %80

So since you are sure i am wrong then you must know the right percentage so pls , tell me.

I Go Pew Pew Pew1 votes

That is not how it works lol. You would have to take all the "trolls" in the game, and divide it by the total number of players. That would give you the troll percentage. Let's just say that number is 10% (made up). If 10% of the players were trolls, The probability of getting a troll on your team would be 40%. Then, the enemy would have a 50% of getting a troll.

The way you came up with your 80% is completely the wrong way of doing it. But, in order to get an 80% chance of having a trolling teammate, you would have to assume that 20% of the population are trolls. I would doubt the number is that high. But again, the way you do probabilities is completely wrong lol.

VvVVvV1 votes

Actually according to your words....even you are wrong in what you said.

I am in low bronze...so i am only matched with Bronze accounts so it wouldnt be the whole community....just bronze population (including smurf bronze accounts).

Now im not going to go looking up your rank but i can assure you that if you are not bronze then most likely you are not experiencing the amount of games with trolls that bronze players experience. And im not just talking about people having bad games, i am talking about out right obvious trolls...the ones that tell you they are about to feed intentionaly or the ones that tell you they are going afk. Not saying there are not trolls on every level either. I only have 1 seasons worth experience outside of bronze so that is all i have to go by and my experience in those games was not like these games troll wise.

I Go Pew Pew Pew1 votes

And at this point, you're not even worth arguing with. You clearly don't understand what I'm saying, and I'm not sure you understand what you're saying either.

VvVVvV1 votes

Well...ok now I get it.....there's the problem right there. The whole time i was having a conversation with you, you were "arguing" with me. Well no wonder you were so defensive. Its ok, we dont have to (me) talk / (you) argue anymore.

I even asked you if i was wrong then tell me what was right. If i wanted to argue with you i would of just said no you was wrong and i was right.

I guess some people just cant have a conversation with people where if you dont agree with each other, you are just considered arguing.

The other guy outlined an estimate, but here's the full math.

Let P(Troll) = probability that any given player is a troll. Then 1 - P(Troll) = probability that any given player is not a troll. Then (1 - P(Troll)) ^ 4 = probability that there is no troll on your team (assuming that you are never a troll, 4 other players). Then 1 - (1 - P(Troll)) ^ 4 = probability that there is a troll on your team.

To get an 80% chance of at least one troll on your team, then the probability of getting a troll is about 33%, even higher than I Go Pew Pew Pew's estimate. If one out of every third person on LoL is a troll, I will eat my hat. Here are a few benchmarks:

P(Troll) = 20% -> Chance of a troll is 59% P(Troll) = 10% -> Chance of a troll is 34% P(Troll) = 5% -> Chance of a troll is 19% P(Troll) = 1% -> Chance of a troll is 4%

We don't know P(Troll), but it is definitely not as simple as you outlined. If it was, there would be a 100% chance that there is a troll on the opposite team!

And there's the twist. No matter how big the troll population is, there is always a higher chance that the opposing team has a troll in it, as long as you are never a troll. There are 5 players there, so if there was an 80% chance of a troll on your team, there would be a an 86.6% chance of a troll on the other team. Sure the games would be terrible if that were to be the case, but chances are good that there is a troll on one team to balance out the troll on the other.

VvVVvV1 votes

Well no matter what the true % is. It is growing and its annoying. And it doesnt change the point of my post that the only way to reduce your chances is to go in premade....which i absolutely despise.

I Go Pew Pew Pew1 votes

Just out of curiosity, how did you get your numbers?

Say the P(Troll) is 1%, meaning 1% of the population trolls. How are you getting 5% chance of getting a troll and not 4% chance? In my thinking, you have 4 teammates. Teammate 1 has a 1% chance of being a troll, teammate 2 has a 1% chance, etc. So for 4 teammates, shouldn't the probability be 1/100 + 1/100 + 1/100 + 1/100 = 4/100 or 4%? I'm not saying you're wrong, just asking for an explanation.

Locke Daemonfire1 votes

Adding the probability doesn't work quite the way you want it to. It's somewhat close at low probabilities, but gets further and further off as you go higher and higher. For instance, if for some reason there was a 50% chance a person is a troll, there would be a 200% chance that there was one on your team if you added them together, which doesn't make sense.

Instead, you do it with multiplication. The probability of two independent events both occurring is the product of their individual probabilities. If you flip a coin twice, the chance of getting both heads is .5 * .5 = 0.25. If we want to know the probability of getting at least one tails, then it is one minus that, or 75%.

Same with trolls. Assuming that there is a 1% chance then: The chance that a given player is not a troll is one minus the chance he is a troll. 1 - P(Troll) or 99% The chance that all 4 players are not trolls is the product of each player's chance. (1 - P(Troll)) ^ 4 or 96% The chance of at least one troll is one minus the probability of no trolls. 1 - (1 - P(Troll)) ^4 or 4%

I Go Pew Pew Pew1 votes

But now you got 4% instead of 5 lol.

Locke Daemonfire1 votes

Ah you're right, I did! Haha, at some point while I was crunching the numbers, I switched to chance on opponents team, with 5 players instead of 4. It should be just a hair under 4%, which is close to the additive estimate since it's a low probability. Will edit to reflect the correct values. Thanks for the catch!

I just want to point out IF you are a solo player, DQ has made this statement untrue. Since there's a pretty good chance your game will have 1 (or more) 2+ premades, you being solo means your team is LESS likely to have as many premade players. Since P(Troll) is generally lower among premades rather than solos, you have a probably HIGHER chance of having a troll on your team rather than the other team. At "best" chances are about even I'd say. But regardless, IF you are solo, DQ has insured that the "higher chance enemy team has troll/afk/dc" is no longer accurate.

i climbed 2 division in one day from bronze 5 to bronze 3 then today i gotbronze 2 stfu. Ur so bad at this game u fucking boosted animal.

VvVVvV1 votes

wtf does me posting about back to back games i clearly got a loss in because of 2 different people trolling have to do with you climbing divisions?

Or was this just your only way to try to get a "good boy, good job" for climbing divisions was to make a comment on a post that had absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the post?
