You know, I don't see why everyone is complaining about Onslaught.
It's really not that bad. Sure it's not braindead easy like most games are these days, and I guess that's unusual, but it's not nearly as hard as people make it out to be.

I love this mode and I love the challenge. I'm laughing at all of the bullshit most of the time instead of babyraging. When you have 20-30 enemies running a train on you, you just can't help but laugh.
All people have to do is learn how to dodge Vel's ball blasts and there goes 90% of the community's complaints.
The only thing that kind of irritates me is Skarner kidnapping me or Rek'sai basically stunlocking me. xD Outside of that it's actually really fun, and it almost seems like a game on its own, Riot did a good job with this one.
The only one I hate is the gigantic Laser Vel'Koz. When they make the box that's fine, but the ones that track you and the one that spawns in at the bridge are annoying.
I like the skarners except for when you get pulled out a the circle and die, have someone almost die trying to resurrect you, flash back into the circle and instantly get grabbed again and dragged out.
It would be nice if there was a CD timer between the skarner ults, although it is amusing to see skarner's steal you from other skarners and drag you in a different direction.
Check the rankings of every single person complaining op. They are almost always unranked to gold at best.
I'm gold, and I'm not complaining at all outside of Skarner being bullshit.
But then, I come from 14 years of MMOs, so this all feels similar.
I wasn't trying to insult you, sorry if it sounded like that.
I just mean that most of the people complaining is ether gold or less and all they do is complain instead of asking for tips on how to do better. They rather riot holds their hand by nerfing anything they cant handle and it annoys me.
You have to remember that most people are REALLY bad at this game.
Skarner's are paper.
Chos are slow as hell and only a problem if everyone's dicking around not doing any damage to the point where they pile up.
Rek don't spawn in large numbers, but manage to be one of the few real threats.
Kha is only a problem if your team is doing nothing about them.
Vel is only a problem if people don't try to take care of them. There are only a set few large Vel spawns, and you should be looking to take them out ASAP each time.
Kog is only a problem if people ignore them.
The entire game mode is just being aware. Its not hard at all. It just shows how unaware people are of the things going on around them in the game.
If people think this is hard. Try playing any dark souls game with contrast Level on 0 and gamma deactivated.
i promise you won't make it past the 3rd boss.
Well, Dark Souls was never hard, so... :P
thats a blatant insulting lie...
No, it just wasn't hard. Punishing yes, but not hard.
Patterns are tough!
He's right. The game has a learning curve, but its not 'hard'. You just have to learn from your mistakes, because you WILL be punished for them.
If you think "hard" is anything that's not braindead these days, I don't know what to tell you.

try playing any game with a completely black screen...
Agreed. Had a ton of success playing it last night for the first time ever, despite how hard everyone was making it out to be. I figure people'll figure it out sooner or later, but day one's always gonna the roughest.
Its really fun imo, I love it
I can see how people can be annoyed with the missions requiring premades, but I think the game mode itself is really good. I welcome the difficulty, and it's quite funny seeing 15 velkoz's lighting the map up with random kha's jumping about the place.
Gets my seal of approval.
If anyone has ever played Heroic mode in Hearthstone? This is comparable. At least they give us something hard, where you really need to cooperate.
If I want to play 5-man PVE dungeon, there are plenty of opportunities for that. Feels out of place with this game. But hey, whatever Riot wants to do. We aren't forced to play game modes. Next one maybe can be a LOL-themed game of Hearts with all the Valentine skins on face cards, for people who like card games.
This game itself feels out of place, since there's a massive disconnect between lore and the game, and so many art styles, so many writing styles, so many kits that don't always play nice... the entire game is really not put together well. So who's to say a PvE mode doesn't work? Most people seem to enjoy it.
The only problem I have is with very specific set ups, like the mission type where you're required to kill everyone while staying in a static circle. The thing about it on onslaught is that it'll place huge velkoz's with the lasers outside or on the very edge of the circle, and then have a bunch of stompers and other assortments inside already. It feels like Wow, do i try to kill all the already spawned mobs that cc lock me and die to velkoz or do i go for velkoz and get killed by everything else. Other than that, onslaught is fine.
I love it, but making a comp to do the missions is harder xD like I can't do it without a support or a Jinx. The only mage really needed is Lux to snipe the Velkozes you miss during the traveling levels
People are mad not because the game is hard, but because the requirements for the missions are stupid.
Every game mode, there's scores of people on boards bitching. And every time, you guys-- like it's the first time you've seen people complain about something you might happen to like or be indifferent to-- come out with scores of threads bitching about them bitching. I mean, when does this madness end?
People seem to be in a tiff about premades being required and the way it demands a lot of a comp from the get go (by the sounds of things). All in all, it's probably more a mechanical thing than a difficulty thing; this is a MOBA, and things that break MOBA meta (even as simple as ARAM) are bound to generate all kinds of results.
Thats because they're casual and can't problem solve/figure out strats. Like for example, build Ardents and full hp +cdr on poppy and you can heal your carries...
Or my favorite one- Damage the boss and ignore the spawns... only for the boss to spawn more spawns after taking more damage

Wut
Take stoneborn pact - heal allies when you cc enemies - proc ardent.
Still sounds weird, she's a tank, not an enchanter. If it works though, I don't see the problem :p
She doesn't have any use for the AP and I'm not sure how she plans to heal herself.
Ah, completely forgot about that.
You can build an Ardent on Lux as well, Pact on Syndra, Gunblade on any of the mages, BT / BORK on the ADCs, etc.
No one would care about the difficulty if it wasn't for the retarded premade requirement.
That aside I can see where the outrage is coming from, this isn't an MMO where hotboxes are exactly what the animation looks like, so a bullet hell phase is justifiably getting the salt it deserves.
I haven't had any issues with hitboxes.
Meh, I completed the game mode with some buddies.
It ain't easy, but man does it feel good when you win.
I like the Invasion game mode, but I can't find an onslaught lobby. Waited in queue for 30 minutes and no game
