Yeah, go forward, gut fiora

After destroying her fucking visual ( her old one was gorgeous, this one is just...meh) , you made her kit extremely hard to balance, to the point where she is nearly pick/ban, so I can't play my main anymore. Not only that, but there are tons of people that play her because she is strong. Before, it used to be pretty much only me and more 2 people who played her at high elo on brazilian server. Can't play my champ, she is considered unhealthy, top lane is a mess with fucking quinn destroying pretty much melee, tanks spamming zz'rot because tank items got nerfed so many times that they buy zz'rot to avoid teamfights ( thanks riot for higher death timers and stupid snowballing ). Not only that, but other champions I liked like swain, malzahar got nerfed because DFT, meanwhile zed got a 5% ult nerf . This game is going downhill , at least for me . I will not stop playing , but I am for sure playing it way less and not buying RP. Not going to invest on a game that has 0 notion of balance. Obs: Old fiora was bad af against competent people, but I still liked playing her.

You're out of your mind if you believe that Fiora, before her rework, was in a healthy state. She absolutely had no counterplay in team fights and her steam roll potential was insane. Moreover, she didn't fulfill her intended fantasy of being a prime duelist. The issues about Fiora's current iteration are blown way out of proportion as she has not been shown to be a dominant pick competitively (poor efficiency in Korea specifically). She is very strong in lane, but if duels and skirmishes are not part of her paradigm then she becomes irrelevant. Offer some constructive feedback instead of merely stating an opinion.

This is the problem with the forums. It's ALL whining. It's ALL nay-say. It's ALL "failure" and "shit". Nothing is deemed "good" unless it's generally weak or out-of-meta, like Sion or Bard. If something's strong, good, popular, or just different, it's automatically bad and defending it catches you 50 downvotes.

That doesn't mean everything in the game is perfect at all times, but hot damn I'm tired of the circle jerking. No one takes a step back and thinks objectively about the state of things, or what changes are supposed to do or what they have done...unless they're trying to whine about it. It's stupid.

The "All-or-Nothing" mentality of the boards is pretty tiring. If the champ isn't OP and cancerous to play against, then it's shit and unusable in the current meta. "Overloaded" is now a meaningless buzz-word whose definition now includes almost every champion, or in some cases, many abilities. "toxic" kits are now the norm for champions in the eyes of the Boards, and apparently everyone has one. What was that bullshit phrase some people like to use for DotA again? "If everyone is OP, no one is"? Allow me to re-tool that for League: "If every kit is toxic, no kit is."

The issue with old Fiora was that she only had two skills: Q and R. Her passive was garbage. W was only leveled for the AD boost and E was your only hope of survival if Q/Q/R left the enemy with more than 40% HP. All of her power was in her simplest skills.

New Fiora has: an actual (and very strong) passive, an actual escape/poke ability, a stun/invincibility/slow/attack speed debuff/Ranged vital proc, another slow/guaranteed crit and an AD-scaling AoE heal. After already healing herself up to 4 times.

Old Fiora had all of her power loaded into 2 abilities. New Fiora has tons of power in each ability.

Nah, she was only tolerable because that was the tank meta. In the current meta she'd be about as annoying as Zed, except on the entire team.

Yeah but at least old Fiora was good at 1 thing and 1 thing only, all-ins vs squishies, new Fiora can all-in anyone, tanks bruisers and squishies and have the same results.

yeah old fiora was like super yi pretty much, but new fiora is like super old sion mixed with noc and with free crits up the hizzle with practically free abilities.

Fiora was not super yi. Yi could actually duel her assuming equal gold

She absolutely had no counterplay in team fights

You know, her Ult had a range where she jumped from between champions, and she had basically no reliable mobility to get to the squishies if they positioned well. If you had actual tanks she couldn't engage you as easily.

Yeah she had problems but lack of gameplay on teamfights was not it. She had problems in lane where she was binary af (unless you picked a tank, then she cant kill you).

But tbh her new kit offers less counterplay because it has the tools to make what she is supposed to do way way easier on top of not being forced to go full AD like before. Any counterplay her new kit has is killed by Tank Fiora, just like what happens with Tank Yi.

Sunfire, Randuins and Frozen heart were not being used by non-tanks, except maybe irelia. Sterak nerf was stupid. The item should be melee only

hummm, it wasn't. It was too strong on yi and adc's. All bruisers where fine with it I guess

Why not just removing the base shield and buffing the scaling instead? Or putting an HP threshold at 2600/2700 HP? The problem is with carries being unkillable, not with carries completely giving up on the role of carries to get closer to tanks. Let people who want to build ACTUALLY tanky on rangeds do it. I was playing Quinn bruiser since the day I put my eyes on her in september 2014, and now I can't anymore and have to go adc on her. You know why? Because now others know how to counter her because Riot made her Fotm, and becasue the OP tank items include item 3748 that is melee.

As a MonkeyKing main, old Fiora was one of my favorite lanes. Her ult countered my ult, my W countered her ult. It was a tricky skill matchup that was always fun, since the rework I just fucking hate Fiora and wish they would undo the undeniably FAILED rework.

Tobias Brackner3 votes

It's not a failed rework. Git gud.

HeadHonchkrow1 votes

Can you explain why?

Tobias Brackner2 votes

Well the rework has effected the champion and has not caused any major glitches/crashes.

If you are looking for something less smart-ass then the OP is gonna need to define "FAILED."

HeadHonchkrow2 votes

Well, the rework was supposed to make Fiora healthier, but did not succeed.(according to the OP), while also making her into an eyesore to look at. Therefore it would be a failure.

The rework was supposed to make her less feast and famine and have more utility. It succeded in this part, however, she is nearly impossible to win lane against, but nerfs will lead it to gutting because her win ratio is already not great. Old fiora and new fiora being healthier or not is a matter of perspective. IMO, I liked old more because I was able to play her more, even though she was more "toxic?" ( She had way more counterbuilding, and new one counterplay is higher, but not that much at all compared to old one. ) Her VU was a failure IMO, and her rework didn't accomplish what riot wanted : make her funnier to play against and with

No, competent people countered her by spamming armor and playing defensively. Fiora old kit didn't allowed her to go in and out with ease. Once she went it, she had to do as much damage as possible or otherwise she would lose the trade hard. Being close to your turret was enough to fuck up old fiora, because she couldn't poke with Q like new one. She had no escape tool, pretty much 95% of her damage was physical, her ult was countered HARD by zhonyas. Her old kit also made her need to go full squishy AD, and relied a lot on her ult. Her "defensive" tool was also offensive, meanwhile new fiora has her W and Q to run away.

Agreed. I dunno why people are so dumbly obsessed with her old ult 'lack of counterplay' when the counterbuilding was obvious (zhonya, armor) and a bunch of champions had ways to deal with it in their kit, while new Fiora is just so retardedly broken and so much more unhealthy, to the point adjusting her numbers can't make her balanced in any way. Never had problems with old Fiora's kit. But well I guess people's ego is such that they hate being killed in a simple way, they'd rather comfort themselves in thinking they got killed because their opponent used their 15 dashes and skillshots to kill them. Even when the champion in question is very balanced and has clear patterns to be dealt with.

I don't like old fiora kit at all. It had several flaws ( lack of escape, which could be resolved by making her Q like this one ) or how awful was her W ( that was the ability people used to lvl up first, yet didn't scale directly with AD ), but changing her ult to be a utility one and giving her random % health true damage made her problematic. I wish they did something with her old kit instead of complety changing her ( and giving her a unecessary VU ) I loved blade waltz, her new ult is just a glorified passive. Hate that

Counterbuilding and counterplay aren't the same thing.

If the counter to a champ is counterbuilding, then playing against that champion always comes down to who has more stats, not who's a better player.

That's why I didn't like her old kit except by her ult and E. Her old kit was binary, but the new one is just nearly impossible to balance

You could counter old Fiora just by building Thornmail (her ult would proc Thornmail's damage). It was ridiculous.

Ironically, current Fiora laughs at Thornmail. Not only this item was nerfed, but with the fact that she has percentage TRUE damage, she bypasses Thornmail completely. Also, she builds less AD and more magic resistance/HP than before, making Thornmail do much less damage.

Old Fiora.. Always and forever. </3

I really enjoyed playing her old kit (even if it was super binary and toxic) to the point where I racked up 100k mastery points before her rework hit live. Her whole "live and die by the blade" approach was what I found extremely fun and if anything I would want that type of kit back. She'd dash in and force you to fight her, live or die. Now if she even looks your way its a test of if you can run away from her fast enough. I haven't had any interest in trying to learn her new mechanics as it's not what old Fiora stood for. Not to mention they straight up trashed her art, all off it.. Models, splash, features,.. EVERYthing. I could not be anymore unhappy with the direction they took Fiora in.
