I really don't understand these cycles with champs like zoe/kaisa.

First they're UP when they come out, then you buff the fuck out of them, and now we have to pick/ban it for 2 months, because you're doing anything about them... then you finally maybe nerf them and nobody plays them. I don't get it. Only if you wanna cash out on their skins ASAP, other than that, I don't understand. Kaisa is fucking broken as fuck right now, it's not enjoyable to play against that like one bit. But hey who cares amirite about solo q. Gotta sell them skins.

What's there to understand. If a champion is bad they don't get played and you don't get to sell skins/use them as an IP sink. You think riot releases new champions because the game needs them? Lmao, they do it because it's how they make money. The same thing with reworks, they don't give a fuck about people who enjoy playing a champion, they want new people to play those same champions so they can bait them into buying skins all the OGs already bought.

Actually there is 1 more reason, and that's zoe and kaisa are both buttboi riot favorites. Zoe is a certainlycancer champion and kaisa's an adc and riot's live design team has a hard on for certainlycancer champions and adcs.

Kaisa was actually fine on release...

also to answer your question as to WHY they do it. if a new champ happens to be released underpowered (or even balanced with a high skill requirement) , less people will spend $ to buy it. ( not that you should EVER spent real $ on a champ when u can use ip, but some people do) so if they "accidentally" over-buff the champ one and take a while to fix it, people will spend money to get the new "OP" champ.
