redniwediS3 votesTank Ekko is also not a tank. Using tank as a descriptive word means he builds high defense, where as using tank as a subject like the OP did refers to the role of Tank, which Ekko is not a part of.

Has 3500+ health and 100+ magic resist and armor? It's a tank. Idc if you call it a bruiser or whatever but for the most of us, it's a tank.
redniwediS3 votesDefensive stats do not make someone a tank. You put those stats on Ashe and you have a very, very subpar marksman, not a tank.
Tanks need high defensive stats in order to do their job. The defensive stats do not make them tanks. Ekko, as an assassin, doesn't need high defense to do his job. He can still do his job with high defense, which is a big problem, but those stats are not required. His job is to kill, not to disable the enemy team and manage the flow of a team fight.
Seriously, this has been said repeatedly for far too long. How on Earth are there still people on these boards who get it wrong?

100+ mr is almost nothing. A real tank would have 180mr, about 3-4k health, and 300 ish armor. just because he built 
does not make the build a tank build or make the champion a tank.
