keystones totally ruin this game

The diversity in them is terrible, only ranged adc and yasuo/tryn really see any benefit. For example, i play full ad nocturne mid and it was amazing last season but now its trash because there's no viable keystone as you don't build crit and you don't have time to auto 10 times. Also, nocturne in lane along with some other champions needed mana pots just to function and was left out of the "compensation" changes wtf

I firmly believe that if you ever relied on Mana Potions to sustain your mana in lane, then you should learn how to play that champion more effectively and manage their resources.

As for the Keystone diversity, there is definitely diversity in them. The 10-Stack mastery you mentioned actually works extremely well on Nocturne.

Trading with an enemy as nocturne takes half your mana pool, if you ult them you're basically oom as you can no longer use a full combo in a fight. The only way to not go oom without mana pot is to never do anything. and how does a glass cannon melee that jumps onto someone with 0 stacks and kills them in 3 hits benefit from a 10 stack mastery?

Nocturne was not designed to be a Lane champion, not even in the slightest. This is why you're having trouble.

According to the item's description, basic attacks and spells grant a stack of Fervor and those stacks make your basic attacks deal bonus damage to champions.

Nothing says that you have to build up the stacks against champions. You should just be able to build up stacks against minions or monsters before fighting the enemy while laning.

If you dislike it that much, just take Thunderlord's Decree for the added burst damage on the first autoattack (after Paranoia and Dusk Trail).

I'd probably make a couple exceptions to your opinion on mana potions (i.e. Yorick, Diana), but I agree with the sentiment.

With the new Doran's Ring, managing mana for AP champions is far easier than it used to be. They start out with the same regen, but it scales your base mana regen.

I might just skip Morellonomicon and Athene's Unholy Grail unless I need the CDR. Two Doran's Rings is enough sustain for me on most champions.

Fervor of Battle is going to be monstrous on any champion who build Devourer. You don't even need to build Blade of the Ruined King on them anymore; you can just build defensive items after finishing Devourer without losing much power.

Maybe Riot is trying to tell you stop playing Nocturne mid.

You know the magic damage masteries work on AD casters as well. Take thunderlord's decree or deathfire grasp.
