Low levels are still the worse and most toxic portion of the league experience

Honestly from my experience when i First started in Season 4,you really don't have a good experience until level 25 ish

why though? 1.The ways to practice You can't really practice in Bots because its filled with people who either use bots to play the game and people who run down middle lane turret in the bot game to make the game end fast for quick IP(which if you see i do advise reporting them) and Norms isn't a good option either because either your game will have toxic people or have Smurfs that don't have even a remote amount of common sense,by that i mean calling you garbage/bad while completely ignoring the fact that you could be new to the game 2.Unfair advantages Smurfs tend to be better at the game but what I'm talking about are Runes and masteries, you might say "but rune prices were reduced to 1,I'm not talking about runes I'm talking about the rune slots in the rune page, more runes=more advantage then theres the masteries, lets look at a situation like this your a level 16 summoner and they are a level 18 summoner, they have a keystone and you don't,this overall causes a problem because keystones have a decent impact on the game 3.the tutorial Ashe with thorn mails in the tutorial which now that i look at it isn't the best way to make a tutorial and considering all the new things your adding it wouldn't be a bad idea to make a new tutorial.not to mention the advised champions to play ashe/annie/ryze aren't very easy excluding annie who is quite simple but after Ashe's and Ryze's reworks they aren't very simple and require some understanding of the game, good replacements would be Caitlyn, lissandra who aren't very complicated and are pretty easy to understand not to mention safe

I joined around patch 4.9. I didn't mind levelling at all. I didn't even know what a smurf was until I was almost 30 anyway.

  1. Don't practice too much in bot games beyond basic mechanics or testing new champs/items. You'll develop bad habits that work on bots but fail against real people. As for the flamers in norms, you just have to ignore and report. Imagine the guy sitting next to you in a math class making fun of you for being dumb. If he's so smart, why is he in the same class? Most of the flamers are people who farmed their way to Gold by focusing on one or two strong lane picks and like to make fun of "Bronzies" even though they aren't really much better than you outside of those specific roles. They're just big fish in a small pond.

  2. You just have to fight your way through this one. You wont be under 30 forever, and learning to win against an opponent with an advantage will make you a better player.

3.The tutorial is really just to introduce you to controls and mechanics, I wouldn't read to much into the thornmail thing, they arent trying to teach you meta strategies. Or think of it as a subtle reminder that sometimes a defensive item is actually a DPS increase because you can't DPS if you're dead. It's like the printed manual for an online game, things get changed way too much ot keep updating it and there are better places to get current information. When I started the n00b picks where Ashe, Ryze, and Garen. Ryze is definitely a bit more complicated since his rework, but all of the mages have their quirks. Ashe is pretty straightforward, she has an autoattack buff, an aoe, some vision, and a snipe/stun/ burst all-in-one ult. The problem with using champs like Liss and Cait is that they are relatively expensive "Premium" champs, whereas Ashe and Ryze were in the cheapest tier.
