Making league 'more of a team game' has actually made the game less of a team game
Team-centric roles like ADC, support, and jungle have become the complete deciding factors in games. Roles like mid and top get alienated and aren't really having an impact on the team, making it less of a team game. You could literally replace top and mid with Intermediate Bots, and as long as they play a decent pick, it will be the same as the average solo queue game.
Making it so Junglers don't farm as much (and thus gank more), making bot side objectives (Dragon, First turret due to having no fortification), and buffing bot lane (both ADC and support, especially support) has completely made the game unfun. Powercreep of true tanks, marksmen, support (and therefore marksmen), and jungling (as a role) has made other roles have less impact in the game.
In previous seasons, mid lane could roam, top could splitpush, jungle wasn't able to spam gank, marksmen didn't obliterate any non-tanks, and supports didn't perma CC anyone trying to kill marksmen. As a top laner, you could splitpush and draw pressure. That would be your contribution to your team. Nowadays splitpushing is completely unviable because you can't objective trade with Baron recall (both MS and reduced recalled), tanks dealing tons of AoE flat damage (aka high waveclear) and tanks getting tankier (so you can't kill them to continue your splitpush). Mid lane roaming, while possible, doesn't seem to be utilized. Most mid laners have innate heavy waveclear which prevents both sides from roaming; I could be wrong on that. Top lane is in an ever worse state because tanks have been given power to beat bruisers early, so they're outscaled by 5 minutes or, for scaling bruisers, never get a chance to scale because certain items (Bramble Vest) set back your scaling massively or bruisers just get obliterated by the powercreep to poking (which has somewhat ruined midlane).
How would all of this shit be fixed? Nerfing or fixing all of this shit I said in a very basic manner; it doesn't matter how, but would it even matter if I said it? Live Design won't fix it.
