that champ has 51.7% win rate 4% pick rate, his stats are doing fine he has strong base stats with 600 base hp, 2190 base hp at lvl 18, 26 base armor 175 range 58 base ad 345 base movement speed

his kit is as overloaded as Lee the dude offers 15% armor shred to his team, a low cd knock up, AOE slow and AOE knock up+0.75 sec stun. his damage are insane while going full tank as he can stack fervor so quickly and has %hp damage on his ult his tankiness in teamfight cannot be surpassed by any bruisers, his ult gives him 15/20/25 base armor per champion hit for 6 seconds

in teamfight, he can jump on a target and isolate her while stunning the others on top of that he gets to dash 2 times in a row with CDR and Q he can clear the jungle WITHOUT LOSING A SINGLE HP, his early game pressure is insane with his damage+cc+345 base ms

the only thing that can make xin life a nightmare is if he jumps presses Q and then can't hit Q for the entire duration of it, then his dash cd will be too long

TLDR: play xin zhao

Did I actually just read a thread calling Xin Zhao overloaded?

The boards have officially gone off the deep end.

In terms of raw stats, I kinda see it. He has sustain, knock ups, knock backs, in built crit, targeted dash, etc.

But then I remember that fighter design generally puts a lot of stuff on them.

Because doing success with him means you have no skill, and sucking with him also means you have no skill. People don't like this kind of feeling.

And so they all gravitate towards Lee ("his kit is as overloaded as Lee"), instead. Because at least they get to say they have skill no matter how well they do.

Champion with no escapes, no ranged CC, so he basically goes in or he does nothing. If he goes in and he's fed he can statcheck everyone, otherwise he dies.

Xin is my second most played. Yes, he's a solid jungle. But, "his kit is as overloaded as Lee" is an absurdity. He can't win 3 lanes and the jungle simultaneously, nor can he erase ally mistakes early on like Lee can. Xin can potentially end up going full mash button carry mid-late, but Lee's kit brings SOOOOO much more to ganks and team fights, and it's not even intelligently debatable.

Just out of interest do you go the attack speed item or the ad?

I haven't played him in ages but much like udyr I had better early pressure and winrate with the early AD

It depends on the matchup. He gets so much sustain from attack speed, but the game is too bursty right now. Warrior is definitely strong in this early game meta, but Razor is huge if it hits mid game. If the enemy team on the extremely rare occasion goes multi tank you get to have some real fun with Razor>bork>Triforce/Cleaver>Rage Blade.

I honestly have no idea.

He is kinda brain-dead so he's not incredibly engaging or decision-making to play, however his kit definitely has enough power that we should see him more in low-Ranked or even Tournament play.

I think he's a case of people focusing so much on the meta that they forget there are 50 other really strong champs to play as.

I hate Xin, so kinda happy that I never see him, and when I do it's always a lvl6/7 xin who fks the game.

Because for optimum results you need to play "Be A Man" from the film Mulan.

Not enough people are manly enough to play Xin.

I know, right? And it isn't just about the song either but literally how he plays. I'm no Xin main myself, but sometimes when I just think "fuck it" and jump on their ADC with their support, the jungle tank, ap mid in front of me... then surprise myself with the results. Doesn't always work but most of the time it does. Either you kill stuff or you tank and die, then your team kills stuff.

He's good in gold/plat. After that people just kite the shit out of him and laugh at him when he tries to charge in.

Binary champions like XinZhao are stronger in lower elos but not as popular in higher elos because of the fact that there is little outplay potential the champion offers and they art every predictable.

He is like Garen in that regard. Pretty much freelo in Bronze to low Plat tho.

xin is in no way binary

he offers way too much utility to be considered as binary

a binary champion is like garen, "do i have enough to burst or not", xin if he doesn't kill a target will still contribute with his massive tankiness and utility (armor shred knock back stun knock up, and slow on E)

Your lucky, I'm usually grouped with the ones that go full glass while being our only form of engage

xin is in no way binary

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FopyRHHlt3M

literally the only element of depths to his kit is marking the right person with your passive for his ultimate. He otherwise has zero variance in the ways he can approach a fight, or skill expression

That is the definition of binary. You don't know hat the term means it seems.

Xin doesn't win via outplay. He wins via stat check.

binary means 2 outcomes if you know latin

xin does not have 2 outcomes in teamfight, even if he gets kited he can still help his own backline with his utliity

Im aware.

xin does not have 2 outcomes in teamfight,

yes he does. he either stat checks you and wins our he doesn't and dies.

even if he gets kited he can still help his own backline with his utliity

what you mean his ultimate? You are essentially saying he becomes useless outside being a low tier knockback bot even 60 seconds at that point

I've put some games in on Xin. Early gank potential is strong with him, but often playing as him competitively often feels like the saying "bring a knife to a gun fight".

Xin's kit does not allow him to escape anywhere and everywhere like Lee Sin's. Xin's kit is a one-way ticket while Lee Sin can get in and out. There's a major difference in mobility and capability to get around the map and out of fights that aren't going your way without ever fully committing. Xin has to fully commit to often to have an impact.

Lee Sin's ultimate is also a better disengage that flows better with his kit.

Mainly Xin is not best in class as a melee damage dealing jungler role. Kah is better for 100 to 0 and also do to his engage/disengage pattern + invisibility. Lee Sin is clearly better via his well rounded kit. Rengar is debatable.

Master Yi and Tryndamere are probably the closest other choices to his role and both shine a little brighter than Xin in a couple areas. Something that is frustratingly efficient on Tryndamere is his ability to spin through walls. This allows him to be much more of a side lane push threat all game and of course his ultimate. Tryndamere has a high waveclear rate as well. Master Yi is simply much quicker to the punch and uses more of a crit build whose output Xin can't match in a concentrated team fight.

I'd consider Xin a low skill champ where as Kah and Lee Sin are high skill required kits. Master Yi is best in class currently for low skill melee jungler outputs. A lot of it just comes down to their mobility. Yi goes crazy with his ult. I'm unsure Warwick is that competitive but he feels tankier than Xin and is a little more fun than Xin's kit though I wouldn't say better.

He's really easy to kite, and really easy to peel off.

Xin is "overloaded" as Lee Sin, huh.

  • Xin Zhao does not have access to 7 abilities like Lee Sin does.

  • Xin Zhao has only 1 enemy-targeting dash for mobility, while Lee Sin has Q & W.

  • Xin Zhao is fully dependent on AA-ing single targets one by one assuming to be noticeable in teamfights, if he's fed. Lee Sin has %HP damages on his Q & ult(knocked up targets) which makes AD builds less unnecessary to depend on for damage.

My favorite jg...mostly because he can ruin a Lee Sins early game 😉
