It wasn't the CS (5.9/min) or the KDA (which I believe stops mattering above 5) that got destroyed your S. It was the 3 wards you put down in 20 mins. No Pinks. You had a 33% DS(Damage Share) and a 44% KP which isn't awful,
Ie Ward more.

So in twenty minutes you'll have at least 13 charges to use for wards.

Do you know how annoying it is when you've used all your wards, and then you and your foe are both at 100 health, and then he runs into a bush so you can't hurt him? And then you can't kill him because you have no wards, and then BOOM, he smacks you silly the second you get near?
I mean holy shit, son, that's why I keep my wards. That's the most putrid, disgusting tactic known to man, and now Riot is punishing you for working around it.

On Blue Side Pink the River Bush Red side Pink the Tribush
Blue side, 1 ward in there tri Red side, 1 ward down by where scuttle would sit
This would allow you to keep a yellow trinket available.
Or buy extra pinks for that senerio you just brought up.

Secondly, if the only purpose of warding is to keep you alive, then shouldn't having a very low death count be good enough? Are they not interchangeable by Riot's standards?

Grag walks over it, that helps you telling you that he is in the area, it helps bot allowing them to push up and play aggressive. it helps the jungler to choose whether he can counter gank, gank mid/bot, counter jungle, or solo dragon. Wards help everyone on your team, not just you.
Pinks aren't expensive I generally always have enough for a pink, As a mid laner I try to 1st back with 1,075 so I can get a Lost Chapter, 2 HP pots, and a Control Ward. If I need to back before then I try to always have a extra 175 (2 HP pots and a control ward) so if I back at 475-550 I get boots plus pots/wards if I back at 575-850, Another Dring Pots/Ward, 875-1959 Boots, Dring, Pots, Ward, I make a effort to keep shit warded for myself.
IF you pink the river bush it also allows your Jungler to know its not warded right there for a impending gank.

i mean if the op had another 30 cs maybe warded a lil more , had just a bit more participation in kills then he would of got the S but in the end it dont mean anything.

My KDA was amazing with 0 deaths but i was "punished" (i say it like that because i was denied my chest by doing something else that should have been better) by focusing more on my ganks and helping my team than farming.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votesive gotten plenty of S games and have a a good amount of champs at lvl 6+ i dont play solely trying to get a grade on a system that no one knows all the variables to , let alone an equation that the variables constantly change based on how people do with X champ in Y game at Z role at any given time.. you have to perform higher then all those other players on X champ, in Y game in Z role and perform higher then your base average on said champ to get a grade of S or higher . but heres the thing... NO ONE KNOWS what they need to do to achieve this grade...
play to better yourself, play to enjoy the game and have fun... and if you do these things... you will achieve the grades you want for what ever ego stroking needs you need

I play to play but that doesn't mean I don't want to try to get my champs to lvl 6 or 7. Its a added bonus of fun and accomplishment to me.

140 CS at 20 min is bad. It's kinda wonky, but you need to get around 160 atleast, and farm isn't the entire grading system.
raptillicus1 votesI agree that CS does seem to be weighted a bit heavily. I'd like to see some of that weight moved to total gold, recognizing that roaming for assists and clearing rift herald can do more to help a team than sitting in lane and farming.
Meep Man1 votesWhile CS MAY be weighted heavily, remember that this is also a ranking system that compares you to other Darius players in the same position. That's why you could go Support Darius, go 10/1/0 with 55 CS, and get an S+.
