Has anyone else noticed an increase in the amount of Akali bans going out?

It seems like she's banned every game now, and her kit isn't even better than Kat's or Zed's. What'd I miss?

Assassins get banned because they are cheap and overpowered. This is not a new thing.

Because in Silver and Bronze no one knows what a pink ward is, and don't understand why they should use a valuable inventory slot carrying one.

I'd argue if it's that much of a concern that you'd spend gold and keep an inventory slot for it, just bring the blue trinket.

Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, the blue trinket does not reveal stealth. At least it did not 2 months ago. Maybe something changed. An upgraded scanner can do the trick, but you have to be a certain level, as well as it still costs money too.

I meant blue trinket, I was just wrong. No wonder no one takes blue trinket, it's useless if it doesn't reveal stealthed champions.

because she's fucking cancer and gets kills super easily without much effort if the player using her isn't totally braindead

she isn't that strong early but as soon as she gets lvl 6 and starts getting some ap...

If anything actually did happen I missed it as well. The group I play with bans her almost every game, and I can't get a more specific answer from them than "I just don't want to deal with her".

What's your rank? In my experience, people don't want to deal with her because she can snowball and roam easily.

She can easily get kills without trying at any point in the game. Thats mostly why I ban her. Same reason I typically ban Zed and Riven.

Tbh because there is a big chance that someone on your team has no clue how to deal with her and will feed. Same reason as zed/fizz and other top bans

I've mained a fair amount of Akali, so personally am not worried about her too much. However, if I'm banning and not going to use her, I ban her because I dont trust anyone else to be able to handle her.
