So...

You gain a little bit of LP for winning a match, which requires: communication, warding, proper poking/farming, good engages, jungle objectives

but

You lose a ton of LP for losing a single match, which requires: missing any one of those things, or having an ally miss two or more.

Right.

Accidentally posted this in memes and games. Apparently they changed the boards so that unless you click back to home, you can't change the discussion board.

The enemy team has to meet the exact same conditions as yours, and LP gains are typically greater per win than LP losses per loss. What point are you making here?

That is more for the lower end of the ranks. From bronze to gold you get more LP than you lose, but the difference gets smaller and smaller until it is the opposite.

You lose more LP upon loss because the system doesn't think you belong in your current elo.
