Shen has a lot more problems than his energy. Of which his only problem is his taunt. Which is intentionally fucking expensive because of how game changing it can be.

Energy champions would all be shit if their energy problems were all as terrible as Shen. Energy is already the most gating resource outside of the laning phase.
