Are we now more early game oriented?

It seems a lot of champions with good early-mid games but bad late games, such as Evelynn, Ziggs, Zilean and Corki are performing much better in preseason. Junglers can also level 3 gank @ 2:30 by going Red->Krugs->gank.

The weird thing for me though is that while it feels like early game champions are more favored than before, I haven't noticed the games being much shorter.

What do you guys think about the relative pacing now compared to S6?

BTW: I know some people think that Ziggs and Zilean are good late game since they seem to be so farm oriented but they're really not when compared to actual late game champions like Karthus, Cass, Kayle, Viktor, Veigar etc. The thing is just that having good waveclear makes it easier to be ahead in gold relative to the game and thus it sometimes appears you're strong late game just by virtue of cashing in on an extra 20-30 CS. On equal gold, both Ziggs and Zilean fall off and are pretty average late game.
