Okay, I like you less now for causing me to watch that video. To the main point:
How doesn't this demonstrate the problem is with the ineteraction? Why is the easiest, most apparent solution the wrong one here when it looks to be the fairest one?
Like can we get some context for your conclusion please.
Because, this is not the only ability that riot changes so it doesn't work with murumana. If you look at Lucian ult, it does single target damage with every bullet, but riot categorizes the spell as a AOE damage over time. AOE spells can hit more than one target at a time like MF ult, Lucian ult cannot. Each shot can only hit a single target, while it can hit more than one target at different times, each shot still only hits one target at a time.
Hence, Lucian ult is just like Kai sa Q. So instead of fixing murumana, they just pretend the spell is an AOE damage over time.
There are other issues with murumana in that it takes forever to stack.
More and more single target spells a lost in the game with each champ rework such Urgot rework. This makes the item outdated as less champs have single target abilities. Only Ez builds murumana as he is one of the last decent users.
Its an AD item while there are a few mages who have single target abilities
but can't use it because its AD.
AD champs have better itemization from lethality so they don't build it such as Jayce.
Its suppose to help mana hungry champs, but actually drain a lot of mana when its build or used. In the video you can see each of kai sa Q drained 1/3 of her mana.
Overall murumana is outdated and needs a rework instead of hot fixing champ spell.
