They dont have a 4th damaging ability, and for this reason. I think Tahm Kench will be a bottom of the board shit pick for at least a year.

Think about it for a second. He has 3 utility spells.

His W (Dont argue with my logic, just accept that there are more obvious chances to be around your allies rather than your enemies.[Its melee range])
His E, Converts HP lost to heal (staggering effect) and can activate to turn into a big giant shield.... cool?
His R, THE ULTIMATE - Drags you across the map to a destination of your choice (+ 1 ally)

So think, His only form of gap closing, harrass, damage, andddddddddddd CC is his Q.

i think you are looking for reasons to flame him. remember that when braum came out he was in a similar situation. he had only two low damage spells. he had a stun but it was mostly melee range if you werent good with skills shots. his only absolutely reliable cc was his ult. then braum turned into a pick or ban support for about 2 months. wait until tehm is out and he gets into competitive play before bashing him with the bard stick.

Braum was made and designed with a designated position (Support) Tahm, wasn't. Thats what im getting at... Champions that are just made to be made because its a cool idea and have no solid foundation behind it usually end up getting reworked because so.

And even then, Bard eventually made it into the competitive scene. Tahm's utilities is really good, and it might just be enough to get over his silly numbers.

as someone who plays a lot of janna, i always have the lowest amount of damage dealt to champions in the post game screen. but it doesn't matter, you pick her for her utility. late game you'll barely put a dent in your enemy's health, and it's ok because that's not why you pick her. tahm's utility looks pretty good and i don't think damage will be an issue.

Hit Q on the enemy for a slow, waddle up to them, auto twice, then munch for that 32% max hp goodness, whilst placing them in the center of your team, or really far away if they are someone like Amumu. The ult is like TF ult, but unless your ally acts fast, it is bad.

32% of max hp in magic damage vs carries isn't alot of damage... actually its pretty bad. That aside In my honest opinion, it wont be enough for him to be a top / jungle.

and he will be a really bad support.

Assuming a carry has about 2k hp late, that's 640 damage. From someone who isn't building damage.

And why would you use it on a carry? You're not an assassin. Using it on their frontline would result in over 1k damage.

This isn't taking scalings and base damage into consideration.

Okay, ill give you that it is a lot of damage if you're not looking to strictly at resists. BUT, in its own his W isn't an offensive ability, its more utility than anything.

Thing is, if he becomes OP they'll just reduce the numbers and scaling of different abilities and then he will just become a walking talking zac blob!

Im more or less talking about his kit, what they were trying to do when they created this hunk of mess.

He might be shit, and he might not. Bard only has 1 damaging ability (plus his meeps) and his CC isn't guaranteed to hit, let alone stun, but he's still a competitive pick in skilled hands.

I've been on the pbe and I think hes the most fun champ thats been released for a while (fun being what he does not ooh! look! tons of damage! like ekko) while at the same time being balanced.

He builds tanky and then cc's your team and brings your team to his or vice versa.

Concerning his w, no its an offensive ability that CAN be a utility. If you think its not offensive clearly you haven't been able to devour any enemy champs on the pbe. It's also used to devour your ally (although hard to get the right ally sometimes lol) from poke or a fatal ability like shown in the video.

W: offensive? yes utility as well? also yes

not to mention that you can devour minions that spit them back at the enemy for damage as well.

His w is definitely an offensive skill. The ways are mentioned above, if you think not, then I just think you don't know how to play him (which isn't surprising, I met a lot of bad tahm's when he first came out).

I think you are completely wrong on this one. Mobility is a very powerful ability. Add to it that he can take an ally with him, and it's going to be one of the best abilities in the game.

His W does MASSIVE damage. In fact, I bet it's the first thing nerfed on him.

I don't think you read all of his kit. And If you did I don't think you understood/comprehended it in its entirety. Yes Tahm does have 3 utility spells. He also has 3 damaging spells. His ult, in case you didn't know, gives bonus magic damage to his Q, W, and basic attacks scaling with his bonus health. Get max CDR, or close to, and you will see how often this damage adds up when you throw out a Q every 3.6 seconds and stunning them for 1.5.

If you are going to bash a champ please understand their kit first. because 20+[4/5/6%] of Tahm's bonus health is a lot when he can buy item 3709 in lane as a replacement to item 3068 and get the speed steal from chilling smite. So at a full build as a top laner including: item 3111 + + item 3065 + item 3110 + item 3083 + item 3116 you get an extra 120 damage to his basic attacks, Q and W not including runes and masteries.

I think any player would respect a champion if it could stun them for 1.5 seconds every 4 seconds, deal mixed damage every basic attack, and execute a champion for 34% of their max health. I've actually played Tahm on the PBE, I have no problem sticking to an enemy or fighting them 1v1 or sometimes 2v1, mostly because he can eat one of them to even the fight.
