Please tell me Ivern's Q dash is for melee champions only

Please. I don't want my jungler to disable my ability to attack move.

Other than that, he is a really cool champion.

I have a feeling it'll place you at the limit of your attack range, which means he could actually HELP you kite (if the melee has already gap closed onto you,ivern can root them, and you could then click to dash backwards to the limit of your AA range).

At worst, I'd imagine it would just do nothing if you're already within your attack range.

At the vid, Ivern is placed directly at enemy who he clicked on, not at 125 units :(

Well that's because Ivern is melee if he isn't in brush, so he has to be that close to hit them. :)

No, he doesn't. Melee champions still have certain attack range - usually 125 units, so you can hit someone even when there is visible gap between your champions. On video Ivern lands directly on top of his enemy.

LoLKiru's correct. For ranged champions Ivern's Q won't move you closer to the target enemy than your max attack range. From memory melee champions use a slightly different calculation to ensure they're generally put in a useful spot.

Maybe? There are quite a few other champions that effectively allow their team to get onto a target though, often with higher reliability (Sivir, Zilean, Thresh, Morg, Blitz etc), so while the Q's definitely powerful it's got a fair number of counterparts I'd argue.

Fair, but I meant Ivern in general. These type of super unique utility based champs have very powerful abilities, and are even more powerful when put together.

For instance, did you have challenges balancing Bard? He seems in a great spot as of late, but was he OP / UP at the start?

I think Ivern has the potential to quickly snowball and become Hella OP. I trust you will ensure that he doesnt become a toxic perma ban in our games :)
