What exactly as the idea behind stealth change?

I'm not complaining i'm just legitimately curious why they did this? People were complaining about stealth being too strong ever since the vision changes and that there was very little counterplay (when in fact pink wards stopped most of the stealth abusers easily) So why remove pink wards ability to counter it? It seems like it does the opposite of what you would want in a healthy game.

Not being able to set a pink to attack akali/shaco/kha etc. makes them all seem a bit too strong where they would normally be perfectly fine. I know sweeper exist but it only shows you where they are going doesn't allow you to attack

They did the stealh changes not only to make it easier to play against inviz champs but also to help out some stealth champs too and make gameplay healthier. Thats why they removed pinks, for example, people could just drop a pink ward on akalis shroud and render her ability useless, which doesnt offer a give and take kinda feel. Overall I think stealth has had a positive change. Leathality tho, oh dont get me started lol

Riot's thought process can be found here. Basically by distinguishing between invisibility and camouflage Riot will have an easier time balancing champions in the future. I have no idea why Riot removed Pink Wards when they were specifically mentioned as a counter to camouflage champions, especially given the current ward-removal meta, however having a cheap item completely shut down the core mechanic of several champions isn't good game design.

Imagine if Riot introduced an item for 250 gp that made all damage true damage in response to Tryndamere tryhards and Nasus mains? Or if Riot introduced an item for 150 gp that protected your champion from being blinked to, shutting down Katarinas, LeBlancs, and Yasuo ults? Are Tryndamere, Nasus, Katrina, LeBlanc, and Yasuo all toxic? Yes? Does having an item for 100 gp that counters their core mechanic balance the game? Not really. From what I understand this was the core idea behind the stealth update.

Its easier to balance a champion, when it isn't countered by 75g item. Since pink wards are gone, there aren't instances of, "This stealth duration is fine, since you can buy something to reveal them"
