Veigar's killing potential will disappear after this patch

He's literally gonna have to be lucky and hope that he catches someone out that's brain dead. His team fighting will disappear. How his is Q farming gonna work? Has riot ever tried farming with lux's q?!? You're really gonna have to be lucky and hope that low minions are not in a cluster fuck of minions.

However, let me hold my tongue because adding movement speed to Ahri's Q and nerfing her power across the board gave her a 57% win rate.

I don't think what happened to Ahri will happen to Veigar after the nerf.

Ahri actually got compensation for the power lost, Veigar gets almost nothing except the possibility that his Q may hit 2 people in a teamfight.

These Q changes had really be worth it, because Veigar is getting nerfs to his W, E and R to get them.

Lets be honest. With the delay in his E, his W will never be able to be used except for wave clear.

His W is now as useful as Ashe's passive.

Someone already did the math (http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/Y1Pggprs-the-veigar-changes-all-out-math) and even with a perfect q farm game (impossible), his damage will only reach dfg level. Basically, he does less damage now, and his stun is next to useless. Riot doesn't like Veigar. He represents everything they want to remove from the game. Mobility creep will keep chugging along and eventually champions will be valued by how many LCS plays they can make.

Champions are already valued by how flashy they are.

It amuses me that so many people talk about how the LoL community as a whole is trash, but now all the sudden a .75 delay is enough for veigar to be useless. If the community is trash there is no way they will respond properly in .75 seconds. I've no doubt veigar players will have to lead it by .75 seconds for it be effective, but I don't see this changing much. You already do this with almost every skillshot in the game. This is what you kids get for wanting DFG compensation in the first place. He didn't need DFG to blow anyone up, it was just a crutch.

It will require you to manage the minion wave more carefully, and not let clusters happen, when you can control that. The 0.75s delay on the stun wall is not much time for any average player to react, and I would expect many to get more flustered than anything when they see that big circle on the ground and aren't sure where to go. Will have to see what changes actually reach live servers.

Edit: Just would like to add that several minor buffs went to Veigar as well as the other changes. Lower CD and mana cost (past r1 ult) on ult and E, W. Q and E both got range buffs.

0.75 seconds is still enough for Katarina, Zed, Yasuo or any other burst champion to completely shit on Veigar where before he could counter them

Yeah. It'll be tough to tell how it actually plays if it reaches live servers in this iteration vs. other champs with less mobility.

W doesn't deal much damage until you get AP, get too much AP however and it will one shoot the minion wave so you can't farm Q anyway, plus doing it twice exhaust your entire mana pool

When it doesn't deal that much damage, it will leave them to the point where you can use your Q to get the kill/AP from the minions.

Late game your Q can kill minions by itself.

Mana problems? With Veigar passive?

I'm going to hope you're joking? Whether or not that's at all a viable form of farming, you just pushed your wave straight to their turret. This is the point where their jungler collects his free kill because veiger can't do F***-all before level 6, with adequate farm.

His team fighting will still be there. His cage that can stun your whole team is still there minus a 0.75 sec delay. I welcome this because Veigar's stun was ridiculously stupid. He shouldn't have an INSTANT stun that's almost impossible to miss and also be that huge.

I knew that Ahri was going to be good, I made a thread asking why everyone was bitching lol. Veigar got nerfs to all his abilities though. The only reason his winrate would possibly increase is that the non super Veigar stop playing him. There are probably 10 Veigar mains. If the lower 5 stop playing him, then the top 5 that are the best with him could still be ok.

Its still one of the single greatest skills in the game. Still better than some Ults.

Unless Veigar's Q projectile is so fast that it may as well be a targeted ability, he's never going to land it on an enemy champion. He doesn't have the mobility to position for it without dying, and with the change to Event Horizon he can't even save himself when someone takes advantage of his trying to position.
