Why do people think bard is still garbage?

Sure, he sucked on release, but he has gotten buffs buffs buffs and more buffs since then. He's not GREAT in soloq, but he's DEFINITELY not bad. He's actually a good support for a team with no disengage, and his heals are really good in lane. Plus, he is good late game because his passive infinitely scales and his ult in teamfights is game-changing.

You mean 46-47% on a 2% pick rate?

I don't want to sound like an as**ole but it isn't impressive at all. I'd like Bard to be better and have more impact on a game instead of seeing his plays wasted by unresponsive teams but reality is that he is not worth the effort.

Just misused. I've met LBs in soloq and they don't care about safeness.

But really Bard is too much of a utility support that can't make things happen by himself like Nami or Sona.

Right now, she kind of is, when compared to most of the popular junglers right now. Bard is pretty much in that same spot compared to the supports above him.

He doesn't actually have a defined role outside of "roam".

He isn't a mage realistically, like Morg
He isn't a "kill assistant" like an Annie who is also a mage
He isn't a tank like say, Braum, Naut, Alistar
He isn't a peel support like Janna
He doesn't have the same catch potential to be aggressive like Thresh or Blitz

He is just kind of there.

His passive does some damage, and it isn't terrible, but you gotta run all over to grab the chimes, which I'm not really a fan of. I want to be running to objectives, not chasing down chimes on the map.
His Q is okay if you can catch people grouped up, but realistically it is the only good part of his kit in most cases
His Heal is mediocre at best, given the ramp up time it needs, etc
Magical journey is kind of neat....sometimes, but since opponents can just follow, it really lowers the value of it.
His ult is just trolly, even if you aren't trying to be trolly with it, and is far too "might work, might end terribly" for how feast or famine he already is.

There is just absolutely no reason to pick him over anyone else, unless you are just choosing to play him for the sake of playing him.

Pretty much goes for LB as well currently to wrap around back to that.

I think Bard is great it is the fact that a bad bard can ruin the entire game with a bad ult. He has to be played extremely well which is why you see his win rate go up as the person's rank increases
