PSA: You do not need to chase kills.
I see this all the time. Almost always a solo lane (usually mid, but top and jungle are guilty of this too) although it also happens in bot, will go all out trying for a kill. This is good. They should look for kill opportunities. But when they have spent their burst or are low health as well, I see so many of them dive towers in hopes of getting that last sliver of damage. Problem is that they either die to tower and are down a kill, or trade kills and if they died first, they lost the exp gained from it.
PSA: You do not need to chase kills.
Just forcing a back at early levels is huge enough. Take that time to gain the CS advantage, or see if you can help somewhere if not too low yourself. Just causing your opponents to back is enough. If they do not have TP, it usually means a level advantage too if at early levels. And you can back as well, and make it back to lane, once death timers are longer than 15 or so seconds, faster than them.
