If auto-fill is here to stay, allow us to select 1 role we absolutely don't want to play.

Auto fill hurts everyone on the team, especially if that person who was, is on their worst role. For me, that role is Jungle, trust me it isn't good. But I can play the other 4 with some moderate decency. Sure I may not be on my best role, but I can manage most of the time since laning is generally similar, farm minions, get towers, push/freeze waves, etc... Jungle is very different so I tend to struggle and that hurts the team. Honestly I hate playing Jungle and auto-filling into it is a nightmare. I imagine it is for anyone who has to play their absolute worst role. So why not let us select just 1 role that we absolutely will not be placed in? 4/5 is still an 80% placement flexibility so it should not hurt queue times too much. I know I personally would rather wait the extra minute or so, than be filled into Jungle.

That would kind of defeat the point.

The role people want to play the least will be support. Obviously.

Not me, I would put jungle like I said in the post.

Good for you, unfortunately it turns out most people would pick support and the queue is screwed again.

everyone proceeds to put support as the one roll they don't want to play

Excuse me, but some people LIKE SUPPORT.

I know, we are rare.

I like it too

Pretty sure they tested that for a bit, but it turned out to have an unhealthy effect on queue times.

I don't remember if they did I guess, but if so how unhealthy was it?

I dunno if they went into detail. It was one of those testing on (turkey? one of the smaller ones anyway) servers first, then if it works out expanding elsewhere kind of deals (as most things these days actually are). Apparently it didn't work out so they're focusing on exploring other ways to try to address queue time/matchmaking/role select concerns.

Everyone will put it as support, then que times go up which ruins the whole point of having autofull

As long as no one can pick support to never play.
